Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258
Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Aunty SledgeThere are multiple requirements for the higher medal ranks, here are the requirements for level 5.So. According to the lines 2 to 5, I have to play several weeks more (I mean, really 'play', not procrastinating on INARA while docked) to be qualified for tier 5. Almost. In fact, it will only get me as far as tier 1. Because of the first line. "Thargoids killed". It practically means I have to go and grind scouts, and I don't want to do that because it's boring. And, fighting only interceptors, it will take literally years to reach higher tiers.
Thargoids killed: 15,000
Thargoid Interceptors killed: 1,000
Thargoid Basilisk killed: 250
Thargoid Medusa killed: 100
Thargoid Hydra killed: 50
So, even the tier 1 is harder to reach than any other existing badge, if you don't want to waste your lifetime on scouts and just have fun with interceptors... which are, ironically, way more difficult to kill.

Inara shows 42 Meta-Alloys. Actual in-game ship cargo is 23.
Meanwhile, EDDiscovery reports 38
I'm currently collecting Meta-Alloys in Thargoid Bernacles. This involves transferring cargo from SRV to my ship.

VonoothaI've observed some discrepancies in ship cargo information displayed on: https://inara.cz/elite/cmdr-inventory/331544/#tab_shipcargo

Looks like a mix of the date updates via API and a direct import. The number of Meta-alloys received from EDDiscovery via Inara API was 38 and it seems the transfer from SRV to ship was adding 4 units extra, which resulted to 42. Normally, it should work, but the initial number (38) was wrong. In the worst case, the full ship cargo is synced at the session start (and its import).

thanks for resetting connection ;-) looks better
achieved percentage calculation still strange...must be a black hole nearby

Aunty SledgeMeowersBL1PYer If I remeber the badge is 1 point for everything or something like that.
Yep. For the badge, Hydra kills are equal to Scout kills, lol. And I haven't killed even a single Scout because it's boring.
There are multiple requirements for the higher medal ranks, here are the requirements for level 5.
Thargoids killed: 15,000
Thargoid Interceptors killed: 1,000
Thargoid Basilisk killed: 250
Thargoid Medusa killed: 100
Thargoid Hydra killed: 50
This medal is really well balanced, each rank requiring you to kill a higher level Thargoid. It's end-game content.
If you had gone after more scouts you'd be well on your way to level 4.
It should be more like :-
Rank 5 :-
Thargoids killed: 2,000
Thargoid Cyclops killed: 1,000
Thargoid Basilisk killed: 500
Thargoid Medusa killed: 200
Thargoid Hydra killed: 100
Or even double or triple that.
The 15,000 number is way off.

Mr 8040Updating Inara statistics only seldom works...some are shown later but since beginning of September the most are shown wrong, also the percentage calculation is strange ;-) more than 2000 out of 5000 are not 27%
Anyway regards from space
Hmmm... I am not sure where the problem is on Frontier's end, but your journals for at least a week doesn't contain any Statistics event, that's why your numbers here are stalling. There is nothing I can do about that, I am afraid. You can try to repair the game installation or just restart the game, if it was still running in the background (as there are no Loadgame events as well).
The medal percentage is correct, it's progressing from the previous tier max, so not from 0 to 5,000 but from 1,000 to 5,000.

I have a small improvement request: Make the "Near star system" input field editable. That field is in all the "Nearest" search pages. When I have travelled to a different system in the game after I last time used that search, the name of my current system may be just a little different from the previous system's name. In such situation it would be most practical to be able to edit the existing system name in the input field. In the old Inara it was editable and it was practical. In this new Inara I have to either write it all again or copy-paste it from somewhere, which is much less practical.
With best regards,
CMDR Mika L.

thx for explaining, makes sense - but as nearly 100 mio credits were missing in overview something was lost - after restarting the connection to Frontier everything looks fine again

ArtieA feature update: The missing components in your crafting list is now possible to filter by custom tags. So if you are having the tags for your modules/equipment properly set, you can get a better selective overview of your material needs there.
Ooh thank you Artie for that feature

Ship cargo is definitely not a critical information, so it is pointless spending too much time analyzing the observed discrepancy
Still, just for the record - the latest ship cargo numbers are:
1. ship - 12
2. EDDiscovery - 28
3. Inara - 32
My Elite is closed, Inara commander data is manually refreshed.
Based on the review of the Player Journal file, seems EDDiscovery may have problems calculating ship cargo after Meta-Alloy transfers from SRV. In SRV-ship cargo transfers, there is no information recorded about resulting recipient cargo. Example:
{ "timestamp":"2022-09-17T19:14:18Z", "event":"CargoTransfer", "Transfers":[ { "Type":"metaalloys", "Type_Localised":"Meta-Alloys", "Count":4, "Direction":"toship" } ] }
{ "timestamp":"2022-09-17T19:14:20Z", "event":"Cargo", "Vessel":"SRV", "Count":0 }
It is of course possible to calculate it, using initial cargo and all previous transfer operations. I don't know how EDDiscovery establishes current cargo and checking its source code would be an overkill
Still, this is not Inara problem.

It should really be called just "All" (or perhaps "[All]" in case someone defines a custom tag named "All").

Please import your game data directly from your Commander page - as I need to have verified data for medals, etc. it's the only way.

Yeah, it's definitely originating from the API updates and the +4 extra are from the journal import (as I need to perform cargo transactions on the same timestamp as there may be multiple records having the same timestamp). But, well, as you said - it's not entirely critical.
Sampi OgonekOh, I’d like to point out that "Filter" = "All custom tags" is a bit misleading, as it suggests that blueprints without any custom tags are not selected.
It should really be called just "All" (or perhaps "[All]" in case someone defines a custom tag named "All").
Good point, adjusted.
