Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Hi Artie,

Firstly I would like to say that it is great you are back looking after this awesome site. (Much respect)

The wing ship registry is a very good feature but is it possible to ensure that any ship ID logged is unique?

This would help our wing because members seem to be doing a lot of random ID's (not a problem) but I think ship ID's should be unique within the wing

Artie and the other independent devs who supply us *for free* with their talent and time, are heroes in my eyes. Forcing the game makers to take these 3rd party tools seriously, that thousands and thousands of us use, is a win for the player base.

Although if I may play devil's advocate for a second, it might also be a case of "don't bite the hand that feeds you". We're lucky that FDev even opened up the API in 2.2, they could just as easily not have. They could have also not reacted the way they did today. The player base is lucky in this case all around. I'm a little disappointed that it takes holding the devs hostage to make a point noted, maybe they will learn from their mistakes.

If you are worried about your email address, just change it to a bogus one and cease to use your account. Artie does not sell e-mail addresses nor will he disclose any e-mail and I know that first hand.

@fuckyouterrorist I'm quite sure that Artie will have no issues permanently delete your account. There are many players which like daily use 3rd party sites (like Inara) and it's only better for us players if there exist FUNCTIONAL (both-way) communication between developers of 3rd tools and FDev. You may not like what happened today, it's your free will to think so. But please stop wasting our time here with making a troll, and use your PM to Artie with request to account deletion. Thx.

It worth to be said that he didn't reached me via PM as you suggested repeatedly, after all ranting here.

Events are turbulent today a little bit, but I can assure you we did it in our (and I mean all of us, not just 3rd party developers) best interest and as we exhausted any other possible options (as we were trying various ways past year and it didn't worked), this step was our only option left, to move things forward. It's shame that someone see that as some act of terrorism, but we wrote everything and whole history in that thread linked before to help understand players why we are doing it. But, on the more positive side, I never thought I will be called a "digital terrorist"! Achievement unlocked!
