Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

BashpromptMight I suggest that you add a dislike button to blog posts? Most of them are absolutely woeful and written by 12 year olds with a touch of the tism, and all I get to do is like/upvote that crap rather than call it out for the ubiquitous waste of time that it was.

No.

Really NO, if you really have big issue with a someone, then do not read his logs. Beside this there should be (soon? ) added ignore feature ... (an ultimate silence tool for personal use )

Not sure what "the tism" is but as far as I'm concerned suggestions are always received. How well received is another matter. Whilst I agree with the feeling that "down-voting" isn't a great way to go I am moderately amused by the vitriolic attacks upon the questioner stating that this place should be a nicer place this year.

Where were they?

I stand corrected... my misreading of part of a response colouring the reading of another one.

ACK

(trying to fix a Visual Studio wonked install at the same time is helping matters...)

James HussarArtie, something seems wonky with the forum unread/new messages counter. i.e. the Inara forum just said "171", but upon arrival, I see three messages highlighted as new. Also this forum indicated 3 new messages but there were actually none new.

Ah, yes, it's possible. I screw up something yesterday so it may happen that counter for some people is off. But, it corrects itself after the thread visit, so you should see no further problems with it.

No plans for it. Shiny = I like it, no shiny = I don't like it (or I don't care).

It's an insulting reference to autism.

Not pragmatism, magnetism or some such then... nice. Woefully written stuff tends to be written more by 12-year-olds with ADHD or a variety of dyslexia than those with an autistic spectrum disorder. No shiny awarded.

elitebgs.kodebox is excellent, very clear and easy to read.

I must admit, it's where I go for my BGS stuff these days

Not to beat on an already beaten horse, but while upvotes/shinies can be given to signify your enjoyment of the writing, downvotes without context simply deter people from writing. As for a comments section that was mentioned, that's just a place for trolls to spew their vitriol and act as a further deterrent to people writing. Believe it or not, even twelve year olds with "a touch of the 'tism" as you so sensitively put it, are allowed to express their creative freedom. Sure, it might not be the quality of say, JK Rowling, Drew Wagar, or even Shakespeare, but even they started somewhere.

If you want to explain why you disliked something and give feedback, send a PM. Just be nice about it and don't just send "You're log is bad and you should feel bad" because that is simply unhelpful. People don't improve if they don't know what their mistakes are, but criticism is always ill received without some form of positivity to balance it out. So I fall on the age old saying that if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything. Beyond that, like others have said, just mark the author in your "do not read" list. It's not like Inara has a shortage of writers producing stuff on a daily basis.

Edit: On the other side, if any prospective writers receive messages that you deem unhelpful, just ignore the user. If they continue to fill your inbox with hate, contact the admin.

Don SamenOne of my ships name seems to be sencored. The name only shows as V...........t.

Most likely censored by FDev's over-jealous profanity filter. Unfortunately the filtered name is what is used in the Journal.

Why would they filter the name "Varanger Bullet"?

It's probably contains something profane in a different language.

Hello, I have some graph options prepared for the next Inara update already. Together with the factions filter and range slider.
