Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Hello all,

Anyone have an issue with Inara showing incorrect grade level for engineers? I have Farseer unlocked at grade 5, but the site claims it's only at level 4 - any way to correct it?

Go to your Ranks and click "Engineer Reputation Update".

Assuming you're using EDMC or journal uploads to contribute towards your Inara account, something might've slipped through.

Hey Artie, seeing some issues where threads I've subscribed to in wing pages and here in the discussion area are dropping off mysteriously. For instance, I thought Inara was quiet all weekend but it was active as usual.

Thanks for the report, this issue should be now fixed. It was a bug so incredibly stupid that I had a really hard time to find it.

As the work on the new stuff is progressing, there is a partial update meanwhile:
  • Fix for the incorrect preferred allegiances and powers being displayed in the PFL and signatures (you may need to re-generate the signature image once time, otherwise it will be displayed correctly on the next signature update).
  • Fix for the rare bug causing visit histories being reset.
  • Some changes in the commander's ship details (preparation for the loadout imports - it will be "officially" live with 3.0 and is currently here for testing of the new Inara API features, so ignore the description there for now).
  • Some stuff for the personal game statistics added, once again, it will be fully live with 3.0
  • New Inara API events and enhancements added.

After I updated my journal today (Manual import, not through any API) I found 20 units of Bioreducing lichen in the Cargo section of the cargo page. This was left over from two missions to source the lichen. Logging in and importing the new journal cleared the cargo.

Fixing it looks kind of ugly because the mission completion journal entry for "industry needs..." is almost the same as "Boom time delivery". The power generators from the boom time delivery mission did not appear in Inara cargo.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Accept source mission
2. Accept cargo delivery mission
3. Deliver cargo (destination 1)
4. Travel to destination 2
5. Purchase lichen for mission
6. Fill hold with lichen for trading profit
7. complete source mission
8. sell remaining lichen.
9. Logoff to desktop and import journal through the web site.

This is probably a pretty low priority incident.

Don't seem t be able to cut and paste the Inara API into EDMC, is this normal?

Thank you for the information, probably there is the mission cargo deduced incorrectly on the mission complete. I will take a look on it.

There is no issue with the "copy" part, the "paste" part may be caused by the fact the game is not running? It should unlock the EDMC settings then...

Hi Artie,

On the FLEET page, when I click the DETAILS tab of a ship, I see the following message under the SHIP CONFIGURATION tab:

THE SHIP CONFIGURATION IS UNKNOWN


I have entered the JSON export in the appropriate field in the EDIT SHIP page, but it is only displayed under the ALTERNATE/TARGET SHIP CONFIGURATION tab.

It seems to me that it should be displayed under the main SHIP CONFIGURATION tab.

Sorry I don't have screenshots, I'm using a work computer that doesn't let me upload stuff

That's correct. The ship configuration will be filled in automatically via journal imports and Inara API with game update 3.0. So this tab will show something after that. But, I will eventually make some adjustments so it will be displayed better for console players (like using the alternate config as main), that do not have this option and can just import the loadouts from Coriolis or EDShipyard. If they are using such things at all.

(Or I will make some simple manual edit for the ship loadouts later. I am just not sure about it yet.)

so with these new updates that are coming, will we be able to export ship loadouts from Inara into Coriolis? instead of the other way around? manually inputting all your engineering and stuff was a pain on Coriolis so having it update from game files in awesome!

Hello, It seems someone has stolen my In Game Commander name on INARA, and now I can not correctly report my in game activities.

Hi Artie, just a small issue regarding the Journal and the mission logs.
Tonight, I completed 4 sentry skimmer kill missions and 3 planetary scan missions. None of these have shown up in my mission journal.
Also, 2 sentry skimmer missions from a previous day have shown up as failed, even though I completed them and cashed them in.
All my other missions are ok.
