Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

I am afraid there is currently no way, the game is still reporting the services as available. But I start to suspect that the "public holiday" state may disable some station services (which makes quite sense), but not sure if it's valid only for the station owner faction or (also) for the star system controlling faction. Can somebody check this on your travels when docking in stations with the station owner's or system controlling faction having the public holiday state? Is it affecting the entire contacts section or just some services (and possibly also any other services)?

Not 100% sure i get what u mean, but I went to check again.
The station is independent and under control of yuri grom. Station and solar system info both indeed giving a public holiday.
All other contacts seem to be there; administrative contact, black market, combat bonds, power contact, search and rescue. Just interstellar factors are missing
Missions seem to be there. Even the lhs 346 demorats giving the holiday.
All other services are good to
Also the ingame cartographics doesn't list the interstellar factor for the station
Edit, yes station and system control are under same minor faction
Edit2, all off the four listed in the lhs346 system seem to have no interstellar factors listed
Even Dovzhenko's Syntheticals an Odyssey settlement under controll of an other independent minor fation, anyunwu life group. But i can't seem to dock since they are at war

The system security level is impacted by bounty hunting and pirating. Interstellar Factors are found in Low Security systems.
I'm sure someone will find an example which proves that statement wrong, but that is the general rule.
Visiting stations with ED:MC running should update Inara.

You have 3 x The Traveller, 2 x The Explorer, 2 x The Soldier. You haven't maxed out any other medal. The total is correct.

I've earned Elite IV in Mercenary and Combat, but didn't get those 5.000 rank points.

I've earned Elite IV in Mercenary and Combat, but didn't get those 5.000 rank points.
Yes, but it reflects the rank progress, too. So for example with 25% progress you already have 1250 points, with 50% progress 2500 points and so on. So there are no sudden "jumps" at the rank up, because you are getting the points as you are progressing to the rank already.

ArtieJarl, Aunty: Thanks for checking! It apparently needs more investigation and possibly some extra conditions/exceptions to work around the sometimes misleading station services reported by the game.

There are 13 ranks per medal, so it's 13 x 5000, not 14. You don't get anything for Elite V as you can't progress past 0% for Elite V.
So rank gets you to 325K and there is 25K for the medals. After that you really have to work hard for a few extra points for the duplicate medals.

I have a feature request. I'd like it to be possible to make your own inventory public to friends. My specific use case is that my Dad enjoys playing this game, however is a total noob at it. So I help him with finding the materials needed for engineering and tech broker unlocks. For him to be able to make his inventory readable to me would make things a lot easier.

Extreme EntropyHello, the progress on my Xeno-Hunter rank progress has been stuck for weeks, to be more precise the medusa kill count is stuck in 24/25. First i thought it was related to being in a wing and not getting the last hit, but today I killed one solo and the counter it's still stuck. Is this a known bug, any suggestions how to unstuck it? Thanks in advance.
There is certainly a know bug with journal logs not getting the correct Thargoid kills listed, and if it's not in the logs then Inara won't know about them.

For comparison, my last game prior to resetting on this same account email, I was Triple-Elite and had A-rated Corvettes and Cutters and pretty much all the engineers to Level 5.
Is there a recommended way to reset this Inara profile to match my new character? I successfully re-synced my Inara to the Frontier account (I think). It correctly got my ship, name, and outfitting.

I have a question about the location tag in the gallery.
When I upload screenshots, I am able to put on a location tag.
I try to fill it in correctly everytime, with the idea it is used somehow.
But I can't figure out how to filter on it, or why star systems don't have their own gallery.
Like Hen 2-23 for instance (https://inara.cz/elite/starsystem/1237785/), I'm sure there are beautiful images of it.
Is there any reason it does not exist yet ?
Inara has a great photography community after all...

U16 patch notes state the following...
Thargoid Interceptors will now be consistently recorded in the journal (Ticket Reference: ID 55741)
Fix for the Player Journal not always accurately logging Thargoid kills (Ticket Reference: ID 55741)
They have been known to play with us before, but if true and once the patch is out we might be able to start work on our Thargoid medals again!!
update: it looks like they have fixed it, Medusa kills are reporting once more. Yay!

yes, as in a vast majority of cases players do not want to open their inventory to public, I didn't bother to make any settings and other needed adjustments to that. But I may take a look on that later on, thanks for the feedback!

Hello, there was an option to show star system gallery images in the past but it was barely used and it complicated some things so I removed that. But, I would like to add a search option there which will go through the image names, descriptions and locations, so there will be possible to find stuff this way.
Handsome J4ckI just reset one of my two Elite accounts - selected a new Commander name and am successfully playing the game from the start (pretty fun!). I notice that when I sign in to Inara and sync my data to this reset account, that Inara seems confused on my Engineer status; it thinks I am invited and at non-zero levels on some engineers that I have no rights even knowing about at this time (I just now got out of an Eagle).

Hmmm... it seems to be caused by the journal import and processing its reputation data prior the profile reset. I will take a look at that, thank you for the report. As you have already reset your progress, the best way is to simply visit your engineers reputation page and adjust the engineers as needed.
