Inara updates, bug reports, requests

Hey, just wondering if there is any chance of including some kind of shopping list / calculator for the Starfield outpost modules? I'd love to be able to select the number of each outpost module I want and have a list of the required building materials tallied up for me. Would save me a bunch of paper at the moment.

A.G.DuranOh, I mean field in the menu. Forgot about we have universal search field already.

Now I am not sure what is meant by "in the menu"? The squadron search by tag works in the universal search and also in the dedicated squadron search, so maybe I am missing something.

Not at the moment, but I am collecting the entries so I can put it somewhere, I guess (it just needs some annoying clean ups due to the localized versions of beacon names). Noted, thanks for the feedback.

Hi all, how to enter image into log or discuss post? Looks like option enter image doesnt work-it is displaing only small icon. Nothing more.

Use a website like imgur or similar upload your photo to it. After you have done that look for the source url (I cannot remember which one it is currently). Copy that URL then paste it in the url portion of the add image here in inara.

I ve tried this, but it insert only as link. I wanted yo have pocture right in log without clicking. By imgur I did guardian handheld weapons sketches

Let me check real quick I still have my images I'll do a trial and let you know which one you need specifically

Edit:

When looking at the photo on Imgur hover your mouse over the photo. Select the three dots in the upper right of the photo. Select get share links. Then copy the BBcode (forums) link. Images will now appear as normal. Imgur has changed their website once again. Cheers

Usually, the quickest way (at least on desktop browsers) regardless where the image is hosted is to make a right click over the image and select the "Copy image address" there. This should provide the "raw" image URL that can be used. Some image services are often providing a link that may appear like it leads to an image, but is actually leading to some page and that's why it doesn't work.

Hey Artie just found a strange bug. When I am reading a logbook that I posted and I click on the edit button it links me to some random Commander profile.

Note: this only happens if I click on my logbook entry from the main logbook page under NEWS. If I click edit on the logbook from my personal logbooks the link is fine.

Heh, I encountered same bug few days ago. Completely same situation.

Thanks for the report, fixed. (It was caused by the missing commander ID in the URL, so it took the logbook entry ID as a commander ID and thus it led to random commanders)

Artie, apologies in advance—I am not sure if this is an Inara artifact, or something that is the result of factors in underlying EDDN data. I have noticed that when searching Inara for station types of Flight Operations Carrier (Rescue Vessel), amongst all the legitimate rescue ships, it also returns orbital starports that are definitely not megaships, like Ito Orbital (Rhea) and Li Qing Jao (Sol).

Presumably it is returning these other stations because they have some data flag in common with actual rescue megaships?

Thanks for the report, that was definitely my fault. Those are truly rescue ships (spawned for stations under attack), but are no longer in the game. I am keeping them in the database as hidden for various reasons and just forgot to filter them out from the search results. It was fixed right now.
