Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

About auto-refreshed notification: I am sorry, but it probably doesn't happen. Even when checking for new events/messages each 5 minutes it may generate thousands of "unwanted" requests per hour to web server, just to return that there is no new event. It may also lead to the state that private messaging will be taken more like chat than "e-mail", which further produce even more requests and more database records (as people tends to use shorter sentences on more sends while chatting). So notifications are now processed during common page activity and are easily noticeable without sound, too

Ability to sort the order of the wing roster is a great addition. However, on my screen the table has been pushed over to the right and the distances have fallen out of full view

It would be nice if a CMDR's Log export function was available. Nothing fancy. Just generate a .txt or something.

The quality of the Logs are very good and you can tell a lot of effort has been put into writing.
I think many CMDRs (myself included) would like to be able to hold onto a more permanent record.

I've written a little windows app to grab the current system name and use it to rename screenshots. Details at elitepve.com.
It occurred that it would be great to have a way to auto update your location in the CMDR's log here. Is there anyway I can pass that info into Inara?

Hmmm... I expect it should serve just as a plain backup? I will think about it and add it to my ToDo eventually...

Nice tool! It's pretty easy to update location in Inara from external sources, but it requires user login/password. I am not sure if I want to "force" users to enter their credentials elsewhere, as it is a possible security problem. But, it may be solved by generating/using some unique key which can be paired with specific account. It will be good to has it solved more generally and provide Inara API for things like this, I am adding that to ToDo list. I have still high hopes there will be proper Frontier's API for this stuff soon, too

On the statistics page, you show "% of CMDRs" at each rank for combat, trade, and exploration.  What do you mean by "% of CMDRs?"  I think I just don't understand how you are displaying the information.  In other words why don't the percentages add up to 100?  It would also be cool if there was a way to look at the entire ranking list.

rounding ..... the only way to avoid rounding of stats like this would be to show a fraction after the intigers , but most peeps wouldnt easily recognise them unless all the fractions were of the largest denominator - which is somthing like x over 10000 at the moment)

the same thing happens within ED for ranges , occasionaly showing a dif value in the left side pannel from the galaxy map as they use different decimal places

I think there is different "issue". These statistics shows overall distribution and there is expected that someone with rank "Merchant" (for an example) has also rank "Dealer", "Peddler", etc.. So the output shows that 92.61% of commanders has rank at "Mostly Penniless" or higher, 90.13% has "Peddler" or higher and so on. In other words - these percentages shows how large is group of commanders having this rank or higher.

About ranking listing - yes, it will be probably there in the future. I want to wait also what brings CQC update (it's possible there will be additional ranking for it).

Thanks, that makes sense.  So it's % of CMDRs who have claimed this rank or higher.  How does it handle CMDRs who have claimed no ranks yet? Does it automatically add lower ranks if someone only claims one high rank? I think it would also be interesting to see the % of CMDRs by current rank.

It doesn't matter if commander has set just one rank or all of them, as those statistics are separated by rank. 100% of commanders are having Harmless/Aimless/Penniless ranks in this representation. Percents of commanders having exactly given rank isn't very representative number (because it shows increasing level, where player must achieve preceding rank), so it's not displayed as it will lead to confusion. But you can get rough numbers when subtracting values shown.

Emblem/icon in the signature is more intended for large groups (let's say hundred and more players) than wings, but I possibly add some automated solution for wings, too. Doing it manually on request for each wing may be painful over time...
