Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258
Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Daddyman4uOnly issue I have is getting it set up correctly to auto update. I still have to enter everything manually. I'm on both PS4 and Xbox platforms. I'm sure its simple user error on my part but I've tried multiple times
Manual entry is the only way for PS4 and XBox, unfortunately.

You sound as if there were people here who would only dwell in their self proclaimed professionalism and tell everyone else off.

That's a possibility, but the case I'm more concerned about is those new users who, dropped into the deep end, try to hold their own without knowing the culture - resulting in their first experience of the fora being a negative one, causing them to either bail on the site entirely, or getting hardened, hostile and defensive against all site users by the first few personalities they encounter.
That the most active and vocal personalities here tend to be "strong", "dominant" and on occasion "off-putting" is a whole other kettle of fermented fish.

If that is the case then the one and only CMDR Artie has given us a powerful tool and that is the ignore feature. Which in turn, is a detriment to those that have been ignored from being able to be a valuable benefit to Inara, and for all those that use it. A shame really, from having a raucous roar to a mighty squeak diminishes the value of opinion, in agreement or not. Fortunately the only one with the real true power is the owner of this site. For that, I am sincerely grateful.

Artie
Gravi0usHi all,
Does anyone know if there's a quick(er) way to remove legacy members from a wing roster. We are trying to have a tidy-up and we a have hundreds of members who either no longer play the game or are otherwise inactive in our group. Removing them one by one is a mammoth task!
Cheers o7
There is no such feature, but I can put something to the next update (which will happen on Tuesday). As it may have potentially disastrous results, I am thinking to allow this feature just to (deputy) wing commanders and in a form that it will expel all members with Reserve rank. So there will be an additional safety measure (you must demote the members to Reserves by the set time period first, then kick them out).
That sounds great, Artie....thanks for the response

Jemine CaesarArtie, I feel the site ought to open by default at the Intros thread rather than at Bugs & Suggestions. It might look a little more encouraging to brand new arrivals to be greeted with messages of welcome than requests for changes.
Hmmm... I do not want to make it a default thread permanently, but it's right it may be good to open it first at the first discussion visit. I will take a look on it.
Shifter ZeroHey Artie, do you have any plans for adding a "functional" material trader to the site? what i mean by that would be a page where could sort of preview material trade outcomes (using our inventory from API or journal files) as opposed to just listing the trade rates.
I have been thinking about it, but no decision yet. I want to see how it will be going in the game first and if such functionality will be needed at all (there is quite possible that commanders amass a ton of materials shortly and fiddling with exchange rates of various materials won't be needed).

the main reason i'd really like to see it on Inara is so i can easily reference the blueprint list and make sure im not trading any materials i need for other blueprints that i want. i think it would be good for determining if i should trade mats, or just go out and farm more.

I believe I heard that different traders have different exchange rates.
