Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

The Stats for the "Fast Charge" are wrong, the resistances take a 1% hit, not a boost:

Heater, BjornTHV: Thanks, both fixed.

Blazer1023New to Inara, got the API loaded through EDMC and it updates my Credits just fine it seems and other items I think. What it doesn't do is update my cargo and materials page isn't that supposed to update also? Not even close to my actual's . Tried to load in Journal file and NO update to that page. What do I need to do to correct, assuming that it can automatically keep your cargo, materials and data updated???
Thanks
Cmdr Blazer

Thanks for the clarification. When I compare your current inventory to the latest journal imported (2018-03-08T03:12:21Z), I don't see anything utterly wrong (if you didn't made some manual edits meanwhile?). So if that will happen again after the import, please let me know without additional edits, so I can compare it with data in the journals (pointing out what components are wrong exactly would be great). There is no reason why the inventory update should be wrong, but maybe some subsequent event in the journal manipulating with inventory slipped my attention.
EDMC should update inventory, too, but I think it hasn't implemented some stuff like material trade yet and is planned for some future update.

Thanks for the reply, is it supposed to automatically update like it does the credits? I did go back and manually copy and load the last journal and it did update then which is what you observed I believe. I was hoping for the auto update when materials change. One of the best Elite sites keep up the high quality and great work!!

If that did happen, it would be the best thing in the world! But we have to accept the fact that hitting INARA's servers that hard would maybe kill it, or at least knock the hosting price up dramatically.

Maybe, if Everyone that used it would hit the Donate Button (and yes, I am talking about myself as well) and drop a few Beer Bucks on Artie, then maybe he can make all our dreams come true, but I am not sure as to how many Beer Bucks it would take.

For Now, it seems to update on Startup, Docking, Promotions, and FSD Jump after Undock. I can live with that. because other sites just track your materials, and show what the blueprints are. Nothing is as comprehensive as Artie has done.

Well, as I mentioned in API thread, I have no problem with updates on startup, shutdown, FSDjumps, docks and undocks (or first inter-system jump as EDMC does, which is a clever way how to save one API call, as there is just one update instead of two on undock and then a subsequent jump). Including other "rare" events like ship swaps, promotions, etc. I am not friend of updating stuff on each material change, as it isn't needed in most cases and may also lead to significant requests/load increase, for example with updates after each material trade with a subsequent user's check on Inara for missing components (although the conversion of materials can be made in one go without constant checks usually).

To be honest, I have a very limited insight how EDMC works exactly, so any requests for EDMC improvements or bug reports should be rather targeted to Otis (its author), for example via the official page.

Noticed this morning that my location is being updated on my profile but nothing else when EDMC has been sending stuff through =(

HeyalloNoticed this morning that my location is being updated on my profile but nothing else when EDMC has been sending stuff through =(

I see your inventory, ship loadout, etc. updated? What exactly should be "nothing else"?

For starters when I last submitted an update, my cargo had changed (visited a endcoded mat trader, my missing components list should be missing 1 to 3 things, I remember that it should definitely not have Distorted Shield Cycle Recordings on the missing list anymore), I also was in my Chieftain instead of my Corvette,

Ah, as I mentioned above, I think material trader operation weren't implemented in the EDMC yet and will be probably present in the next update. By the logs, I see nothing wrong on the ships - everything that was received via API was also performed. There is nothing I can do - everything seems to be performing on Inara as intended. If do you think there is some bug in how are journal data transformed to API calls or there should be something improved, please contact EDMC author.

I still don't get why it is different with XB1 versions, if the Frontier servers are mostly the same. What's the magic behind it as I had no thought about it.

Well, currently the most of player's information used by 3rd party tools is logged into the journals. I think there are no huge obstacles in the game/client itself to have it logged same way on consoles, but there are very probably other technical platform and Sony/MS politics limitations. For example, are they allowing to have such files generated and stored on the console local drive? Are they allowing to have such specific files moved to OneDrive or elsewhere? And so on...

TraitorMattSo yesterday when I bought my Orca, I renamed it to Winnipeg and when I just looked at my fleet. (https://inara.cz/cmdr-fleet/104334/) and it shows that I have 2 Orcas. One being my renamed Winnipeg that has a value of 0 credits however it is at my current location (GD 140) the other Orca has a value of 47,7 million and is set at the location that I bought it from.

I don't know if I accidentally did something to mess it up but is there a way that I can fix this?

Help is appreciated.

I'm having this same problem with my sidewinder. I've tried deleting it but at the next update it's back.

Lyon DeLacyI still don't get why it is different with XB1 versions, if the Frontier servers are mostly the same. What's the magic behind it as I had no thought about it.

From what I read a while back, it's mainly the Sony/Microsoft security measures that prevent data being pulled from the servers. Breaching those is tricky, and even if it was managed, the payoff isn't worth it, not to mention the fact they'd simply fix the hole and we'd be backat square one.

But I'm no computer expert so my ramblings may be completely wrong.

First i would like to say thank you for creating inara. It is a great site and it has become my go to site for many things. I have one request though as an Xbox player I have to manually update my material and data inventory which there is nothing that can be down about that.

It would be nice if you could look up a blueprint and click button for the number of times you did an engineering roll and have it remove the mats and data used form your inventory.

Hi Artie,

INARA is just getting better and better and The Fatherhood Wing really appreciates all your work.

Is it possible to have an additional Wing Role called Membership Officer, this role could then be given to someone as an addition to their Wing Rank, like Ambassador role.

This role would enable the person to approve/reject membership requests, but would not give them permission to change the roster unless they had the appropriate rank.

The Fatherhood is finding that as we get a bigger membership across the world, the timezones mean that sometimes a membership request can be waiting 10 hours before someone sees it and we would like to react quicker by having members in different timezones with this ability to approve or reject a membership request.

Many thanks
