Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Just mostly wing-related update: Wing commander now can assign "managing" roles to their members (join requests approval, etc.), same as regular member ranks. Some ranks have their requirements/restrictions (as I do not want to close door to possible future enhancements), but it should not be limiting. Do not hesitate to promote your members!

Also, minor change to station distance information in market - there is now exact distance displayed instead of distance range. There is possible that for few stations are distances "rounded" to similar close distance, so feel free to update it when noticed.

This site is great. It seems to be way easier to navigate then Frontiers many sites and has way more info. As a brand new Xbox player I kinda wish I could get screenshots but I guess there is a bug with the Preview program where they won't let you share screenshots or recordings

I have started a wing for my team, once the boss arrives, can I promote him to Wing commander in place of me? Is there a way to relinquish the role to another member?

I love this site. Your palette selection and fonts are awesome and the info amazing. ED really needs to look here for how they should their Community site.

A few ideas (or maybe things I just missed):
  1. Search function to locate CMDRs. I like making up stories about other CMDRs in my logbook. Be nice to see if some of the CMDRs are here.
  2. Hyperlinks in the logbook and such should be colored and underlined so they don't blend in with regular text. A hyperlink shouldn't appear like this, where it's only noticeable on hover. It should appear like this, underlined and coloured, to standout.
  3. Can the Updates and Help question threads display posts in chronological descending order? Currently, it is ascending - putting the oldest posts first.

1. As it is part of privacy, I do not want to expose exact locations too much. Currently, exact locations (when not disabled by CMDR) are shown just within a wing. For the rest there are displayed just active commanders nearby within a close range, without exact location (right column in "Galaxy" section).
2. Good idea, I will change that ASAP.
3. This can be set in your Settings, under "Forum posts order"

Regarding suggestion one, I didn't explain that well. I wasn't thinking about their in game location. I was just wondering if there was a site search that would let me find them if they are registered here and see their external inara profile. The closest I can find right now, is to go to the site Rank Listing (where I'm currently 1161) and then scroll through the other CMDRs: http://inara.cz/cmdr-stats/2241

Ah, in that case you can use search in "Friends and favorites", it also shows links to profiles in the search results.

Just a thought, when you create a Wing, the allegiances are just the three major factions. What about Mercenaries? My group doesn't have an allegiance to any one power.
