Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

...... More often than not while I am not farming materials I want to know information about nearby facilities, resources and where I've recently been so I can return. I don't know what a game companion page/webapp would look like but I find myself wanting one more and more. Inara has all of the information I want, it would be nice to have a HUD friendly version for quick access based on where I am and have been.

The Hud friendly version of INARA is called "your old non-gaming PC or Laptop" on-the-side.
And I use a third old Acer web-book for TeamSpeak3 voice-com's to avoid tangles.
And a fourth display monitoring the old PS3 for Netflix.

Captain BrowncoatI have 3 monitors on one PC. I have no trouble displaying Inara. I just am asking for quicker access to often needed features.
Does customising the menu not get you what you need?

Background: I use EDMC, recently added Inara API key to it, and then I’ve had a couple of incidents where EDMC could not connect to Inara, of what it informed me. (It always happened sometime between 01:30 and 02:00 CET; that was before the switch to summer time, however.) Those problems were transient, i.e. they always went away after a couple of minutes. Unfortunately, it seems EDMC does not re-upload events in that case, so they were lost; as a result, for example, my missions log contains a couple of missions marked “expired” which were, in fact, completed.
Now the question: if I upload the relevant journal files manually, will it correct the missing events? Or will it mess up things even worse?

More and more frequently I find I want to have Inara open on a side monitor while playing E:D. Today I am doing some material farming and have been going back and forth between Inara and have some feature requests for your consideration.
1) Please add the material/component inventory maximum to the My Cargo page. This could be done via a bar graph per material/component or just to the inventory number eg Galvanizing Alloys 202/250.
2) Please add the material/component inventory count and maximum to the material/component description page.
3) Please add two tables to each description page. One each for trading to and for a material/component.
4) Please add the material/component inventory count and maximum to the My Favourite Components list. This could either be added to each component button/box/widget thing or be added using mouse hover.
5) Until I scanned the new posts before writing this I didn't know about the missing materials page. Please consider adding a crafting list button to the blueprint page, near the favourite blueprint button.
6) My Favourite Blueprints and Crafting Lists seem to share responsibilities. Please consider combining these two features, perhaps give the user a setting to choose if they want to track components or not.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will take a look on it. I have experimented with bars, etc. on the cargo page before 3.0 and it was a visual mess, but I have some idea how to put it there. For the HUD friendly version it rather rely on some app that will pick the bits and transfer them to the game HUD or similar, it is otherwise outside a scope of a website. So if anybody wants to write something like that...

I am not sure if I understand, as there may be multiple very different factions in the system, what that color should represent?

Yes, it should be safe to import journal file "over" it. In the worst case there may be some duplicity ship created in the fleet, if it will be complicated to identify it.

In the Star System page, where the station list is, could it be possible to make it viewable by size/class? Now it's by alphabetic it seems, but that means the unimportant planetary installations are on top (in my particular system anyhoo). Like I said, a minor nuisance

I recently started with the engineering (before using EDCM to update progress) so i have martuuk to palin unlocked and palin is fully leveled and so is farseer. but when i update with EDCM or manually putting the logs in it doesn't update.
I just unlocked the dweller and upgraded my Distributor and it updated and shows that dweller is max level.
How do i make it update my engineers i have already maxed or unlocked?

I am sorry, I was not clear. I just meant a simple easy to click interface (big buttons) for running beside the game. Still within the webapp. Really that was the least of my requests though
