Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

DevlasIs there any problem with the engenier page ? mine havent updated at all with what grade i am with them..... But if i look at EDSM they are uppdated... I love this page but it make me confused when it say that i dont have full grade uppdate with some of them


Artie As mentioned in the journal uploads - the engineer reputation levels are updated just on a level change, because currently there are no levels for all engineers known in the journal. API does just what is send to it, so it's app dependent (some app may be doing the update just on a change, some app may do all engineers update (if it somehow manage to get all the engineer levels) and some app may do no update at all). It is nothing I can affect.

Now that we have the API the Journal Uploads section is probably not getting as much traffic and is not required to visit to get the API working.

Any plans to make the Materials List exportable? I'd like to dump my own mat counts into a spreadsheet and planning.

KowganThanks for the update with the subscription buttons, Artie! Though I'd like to point a bug. I've set my Discussions auto-subscribing off, and now the Discuss "new post" notification ( [img=71x23]http://puu.sh/A1mC4/58156149a5.png[/img] ) doesn't update properly. Once I load any page ( e.g. "News" ), there's no notification on Discuss. When I refresh the page, the notification mark appears on Discuss, even if there's no new posts at all.

Hmmm... I will try to replicate it, thanks for the info.

I was thinking about it, but people usually don't read anyway. I will suggest to FD to include the general engineering reputation state in the journals which then can be imported and it will be (eventually) solved that way.

No plans at this moment. But you can try the Crafting lists and Missing components features here for your planning.

Artie, only just found the Auto promote feature which would certainly save doing the process individually. The only thing that puts me off using it is that it sweeps up inactive players also.

Would it be possible to add a third selection box to define online (Inara) activity (or default it to something like 21 days)?

EDMC updates credits on the startup and on the significant change (I think it's something around 5% difference).

Not sure if that's a bug or not, but I recall there was option to pick up Pilots Federation as option for allegiance. Is it gone for some reasons or it was overseen?

Artie, would you consider adding a poll/vote feature to the site? Maybe as a bit of markup that could be added to a comment where people reading could select one/several of available options? Putting one into a sticky would be great, but at the comment level would have the most utility IMO.

One of my favoritest features of the Frontier Forum is that reputation exists, but it can only be seen by the user that received it and it's only a positive vote. That way, people aren't showing off what tremendous asshats they are in return for likes. Rather, they're doing it pro bono.

I have no idea what numbers each of those pips mean, and although I'm sure it's explained somewhere on the forum, it's not in a place that's immediately obvious to me. And no, I don't need it broken to me.

What I mean are individual posts that shows "These people liked what this person said here". When someone sees that a particular post gets a lot of likes from different people, it encourages those others to parrot that same thing. I've seen it from before from ample experience.

I usually stay quiet about these things, but I have a sneaking suspicion that there is an ulterior motive here.

Namely, I think starting up a populartiy contest is the worst idea, and would be very damaging to Inara. If you want likes, go to Facebook.

And also, I don't on principle like internet forums that allow some sort of negative feedback. Like a thumbs down button, or a rating scale. The internet is mean-spirited enough as it is.

This is so true! I used to get pretty anxious whenever I'd post something on forums/YouTube or anywhere else fearing the inevitable backlash. Luckily, as I've gotten older, I just post whatever and don't really care what people think or how much attention I'm going to generate. I post for me, unfortunately I'm also my own worst critic so there's that to deal with now hahaha
