Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258
Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

LoriathQuestion about the listings that you have for systems closest with allegiance: Is there a way to find closest Station with a particular allegiance instead of a System? I am accumulating a lot of Alliance bounties, and was hoping to find a station closer than the complete systems allegiance show.
Well, is such stations are usually very close to their allegiance "borders", displaying whole systems is more effective and faster and it doesn't make too much difference. But, I will try to look if there is lot of exceptions so it will worth the changes needed for the search (which still keeps it effective).
Lase MoorayWould it help if the setting was a range rather then a limit? Say a minimum or 40LY and max of 60? Probably wouldn't help but just a thought. Or maybe a base range with a +- radius to search around it? So you would set the base range at 40LY and radius of say 20LY so that it would search for everything only between 20-60LY.
I'm now not sure that makes sense LOL
It makes perfect sense. Such solution will help the performance, but not so much as it may seem. For example, number of known stations around Sol:
20Ly range: 156
40Ly range: 774
60Ly range: 2041
80Ly range: 4018
So, in this case, limiting "bottom" 20Ly range doesn't make so much difference. Limiting range to 40-60Ly will make significant difference, but it has unfortunately another drawback - it won't show routes below 40Ly and there are many profitable routes in that range (so it will "cripple" results when 60Ly range set). So limiting search conditions to just potentially profitable commodities for large distances is a way to go. I'd like to keep things as precise as possible, but unfortunately such kind of calculations are pretty expensive for a web services, so some limits are needed (and you can notice similar limits in other trading tools as well).

About diary/notes/logbook - I have already something in progress, it needs just to be finished and tested. So... soon (probably with or some time after Powerplay release)

I do have a feature request / neat idea, or at least something i'd think was neat.
I think it'd be pretty slick if, in your credits/assets timeline graph was further segmented to show what percentage of your assets were allocated. So for example, right now your graph shows total assets, and cash on hand. So in my case, i have about 20mil on hand, and 100mill total, and the graph shows that. But my total assets could be devided up further between my two ships, a type-9, and a Cobra. Â You could set the graph colors in the fleet window for each new ship (maybe, or maybe you'd just automatically assign things based on your slick color pallet ).
The graph could further divide itself based on the date each ship was purchased.. ya know.. it'd just be easier to show you..

Nice idea. I am just little bit afraid that will clutter graph in case of many ships owned. Also, currently are stored just actual ship values (so no history), but it can be changed. But to avoid visual cluttering and as ship values are not usually changing too much - maybe some nice pie chart will be better for overall assets breakdown?

Also on Fleet Value: where do we obtain correct info? I went to the station my other ship is docked and when I bring up the tab to switch ships it tells me a value of that ship. So I got the value for both my ships. However, those totals + credits do NOT equal what the game says my total assets are. I have no idea what the difference is supposed to be and where I would find that info.

- take a look in the game to your statistics in the side panel, there is "Current assets" number, which is value of your current ship plus current credits
- subtract your current credits from that number and voila - you will get value of your current ship
- do that for every ship you own and you will get values for all of your ships
Actually, you can enter just your current credits in Inara and the Overall Assets value is calculated properly. But it needs to have set your fleet value, then you will get a perfect sum. So when this set, you won't bother with anything else than current credits.

That said, when I'm at the credits screen, whatever I enter for credits also ends up as my total assets on Inara unless I enter assets too. That's kinda what I was trying to avoid. I do have values set for my ships, they're just apparently not the correct values. But it's not adding anything whatsoever for me.

Ohh i love stream graphs.. for me, the more complicated they get the better.. But it's surely just a matter of personal taste. A lot of my designer friends are all about keeping things simple, So i totally understand where you're coming from.
I can't find the examples that i was thinking about when i made my original post, but here are a couple others.
Example one
example two
you could also just do a google image search for stream graph infographic if you were interested. Lots of examples there.. some good.. most bad.

Great site and very useful - as a smuggler I'm interested in what's hot on the black markets and I've ditched my trusty spreadsheet in favour of using this
I noticed that the data on Onion Head is out of date; it is no longer sold as "Lucan Onion Head" in Tanmark and has gone back to its original name (just "Onion Head"), sold at Harvestport in Kappa Fornacis.

Thanks, I got the idea. I also like complex things, but it's always about trade off. So we will see...

I will fix that, thank you for report.
Lase MoorayIs there anyway to make the market not show certain items for certain stations? I ask as I have been looking for a good short trade run and end up having lots of 'sell palladium' suggestions but the source station only has a really low (sub 20) stock of them. It might be useful if there was a way to filter out low stock levels like that?
Well, it's little bit more complicated. Often in systems where is usually solid supply of most frequent commodity it may drop when lot of players trading there in the same moment. Filtering some specific commodity may be better option for specific cases, as you suggest. Hmmm... I will think about it more, but for now in this case I can suggest a workaround - lower palladium price in this station for few minutes, check the trades and return the price back. If it doesn't take long, it probably doesn't harm too much...
