Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

WKDBeen trying to update my engineering status with certain engineers, but it's not updating on here. Still says "No Access" even when I'm at the engineer doing upgrades. Got Inara synced with EDMC.
EDMC can't report engineer ranking unless the rank changes. Frontier doesn't expose it in the journals except on those events. Go to CMDR's LOG, Ranks and Reputation, and look for the ENGINEERS REPUTATION UPDATE button.

Completely forgot you could do it manually, but this whole time it automatically updates my status with most engineers I have unlocked.

Nothing is planned in that regard. All location/position info of commanders is strictly used for the general anonymous stats (like system traffic, security reports, combat zones population, etc.) and nothing else. I want to avoid any option that allows to track individual commanders and their movement, on the site and also in the API. The only exception is a location in the friends list and wing roster, which are the areas such information may be useful for your friends and wing fellows (and even that can be further suppressed in the privacy settings).

Inara misses the shield generator, I suspect that having a cargo rack in the restricted class 5 slot is messing things up.

Not at this moment. As it may rely just on manual updates currently and it's tiresome to have updated everything, I was not adding this feature so far.

There was also a new feature added - all your modules listing, which should help you to easily track any module across all your ships and/or stored modules. As usually, there were minor bugfixes, etc. made, too.
I would also like to mention that the Inara rankings system (which was introduced primarily for CQC years ago) became quite obsolete. Not because of CQC, but because there is still impossible to ensure all information provided by commanders are absolutely correct and its reliability is disputable due this. Most commanders didn't cared about it anyway. As such, the rankings will be removed any time from now. There may be some replacement in the future, but this step will make some things easier for me at the moment.
