Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

ArtieYes, as noted in the API docs, it's a best practice to provide as much information as possible in a case of mission entries. In this case, no info about commodities and their numbers were provided, so it is not properly displayed. I will fix the output to show some "?" instead of "%strings", but it still will be wrong without those details.

Ah, so it's actually an oversight in my app. Noted - thanks for clarification. (for users) will fix soon

EDDiscovery tries to set loadout/cmdr ship to fighter, which is not supported by Inara. The app needs to be changed to ignore Loadout events for fighters (at least in INARA scope)

Ah, glad to read it's an expected behavior then. Thanks!

Hi Artie

Is there any way to important the progress of your NPC pilots?

If not automatically, could we have a manual field for recording our NPCs pilots progress, current rank/% etc?

Yes, as John said... it's also a case for SRV. I am throwing a "hard" error instead of just some warning there because it is technically an error - none if this is a "mature" ship.

Not at this moment. The basic structure, functionality, outputs and manual edits are the most expensive thing to create time-wise, the imports from journals into the structure are easy then. There is some stuff for that in the journal and I would like to incorporate it here, but it's not a priority at this moment as the crew in the game seems to be just a skeleton of what it can be and many players doesn't perceive it as important currently. But in the future, yes.

Hey, in the commander biography the height and weight are both being set to 350 despite me entering in a completely different number.

There are some limits set, were you entering higher values than that? Or what exactly was entered?

How do system states, faction influence, etc. get updated? Is it through pilots using apps like EDDiscovery and EDMC (either directly updating Inara or indirectly updating something else Inara draws from), or by another means?

EDMC, EDDiscovery and the like.

I've noticed that not all of my ship values are reported correctly. The value of all the modules that were upgraded does not seem to always be taken into account. I use E:D Market Connector to import my data, and when I check the 'Ships' tab under 'Status' it shows the correct values there, so it looks like this information isn't being reported to Inara correctly.

Is this a known issue, or is this something that should correct itself over time? The ship where I first noticed this is one that I just recently purchased and upgraded, however I've docked/undocked and logged in/out several times since then.

This also seems to be throwing off my reported 'Assets' value. It looks like this number has been reduced by the cost of the modules I purchased. I would expect that it would have remained constant even though my credits total has been reduced, unless I'm mistaken on how this should work.

Draguan Nu is claimed as free of any PP influence whereas this system is not only affiliated with but controlled by Li Yong-Rui. I am not sure if that may happen to other systems, too. All other info seems to be in place though.

Also, there's no option to manually correct Powerplay affiliation in system edit.

Hello, I don't know where the issue is exactly, but not on the Inara side. I don't see the ship's modules cost value reported recently in the logs. It seems that EDMC doesn't report hull/modules value very often, even on the Loadout at session start where are those values present in the journal. It's similar with the overall assets value which can be taken from the game statistics - I am not sure if it is used by EDMC at all, so then all the following overall assets calculation lies on Inara, based on the current credits and fleet value (and when incorrect stuff is reported for the ships, it's off as you noticed). Please report both these problems to Otis at the official EDMC Github page.

The PP should be updated today, so I expect it will be alright then.

I feel super-nitpicky mentioning this, but in the Crafting List, the Guardian Hull Reinforcement package is shown as requiring 18x Guardian Wreckage Components, whereas 21x Guardian Wreckage Components are needed.

Thanks Artie, I'll do that.
