Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Small suggestion if it isn't too much hassle, but can you change the title of pages so that when you look at your browser back history its easy to pick out the page you need?
atm, every page is called "INARA - Elite:Dangerous companion."
It would be nice if it would say "INARA - System: Jonai" for example!

If any of the creators/maintainers of this site are here, I love Inara. It really creates an engaging link to the universe of E:D for the gamers, and I appreciate it. I had a request however. I'm not very good with PCs and I'm not very savvy. I've tried over and over to understand the "copy/paste URL" trick for attaching photos to the CMDR's log entries and discussion boards to include reading Reddit threads. But I can't get it to work. It works well-enough for my signature block, but not for anything else. Is it possible to re-tool that function to allow the user to just do a basic browse of their computer, click on the image they want and have it upload? It would be super helpful for people like me who are console gamers with limited computer know how and it would allow for us a much more enjoyable experience.

It is indeed a wonderful site, and a great boon for all players of ED. It's all the work of one man, the lovely Artie. He's a star for running this site, for love of the game and for the benefit of the community. We are all very grateful to him for the countless hours he must put in here.
Images; Inara can't take image files direct from your PC, so you'll need to use an image hosting site. Many of us use Imgur. It's fairly easy to use, and you can set it to keep your images private or go public.

S.H.Robinson: Yes, it's the current approach as there is currently no priority to allow store absolutely everything here in terms on images used on forum, etc.

Yes, but the "one size fits all" title across the entire site doesn't help with this. If when viewing a particular system it was "System: Mukun - Inara.CZ", for instance, then you'd not need to edit, and could rapidly bookmark things without later having to go back and check each just in order to rename the bookmark.
I'm sure I asked for this years ago now!

Yes he is indeed an awesome guy, I know I would have stopped playing elite for a long time without INARA. Oh and if you feel generous

This would be an awesome feature. Just a keyword search for the description or other fields.
Of course, this being Artie’s site, it probably already exists and I just never thought to check.

Extra note: I have added two new categories for the gallery images - Postprocessed and Portraits, feel free to re-categorize your images when necessary (under current "Misc" category should be really just something that doesn't fit anywhere else). Also, in advance, set a proper star system to your images if do you want to have a chance to have them listed in the respective star system details.
