Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258
Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

it is no more possible limit logbook articles access only to squadron members? I see that I had this setting for some of my older logbook entries, but for new one I did not found it. However, it is possible that i misunderstod what "Private" setting means

Supert0mcatThere are some ''ghost'' ship in my fleet(Two kt2 which have no detailed information). How should I solve this.(I'm using EDDiscovery to sync)
Please just delete these then, it may happen with partial ship identifiers, etc. during API updates sometimes like when some of the ships were already existing (with different or no idents or such).
I did delete these ships, but it showed up very soon.

For some reason, doing the nearest search, I cant use Prooe Drye GH-S d5-85 as my current location.

There might have been a misunderstanding what a “ghost” ship is.
Do you actually own these ships in game? If yes, then you need to switch to each of them in order to have detailed information on Inara.

Whitewolf06Hey Artie,
There is a small discrepancy between my credit balance on Inara and my balance in game. It's nothing I'm too concerned with, but I thought you may want to know. I was going to add screen shots to this post, but I'm not sure how to. Thanks.

Hello, when this happen it's best to either wait a bit (there is possible than the latest transactions weren't in the journal yet) or jump into the game menu, back to the game and import afterwards, as the actual credits should be written into the journal at the game session start (so there is supposed the record there is up to date).
Happy DazeHi Artie,
Yes my phone logs itself out after a time of non-use. So that makes sense I have to log in again.
On another front. The Squadron members (even recruits) can see Member Activity, which shows who's been active and how much INF each player has done. We would prefer this to be an Access Controlled Feature. IE: Management sets the member level that can see it. We certainly would not set it to Recruit, as we get spys joining all the time to see what they can see. We consider this a high level request.
Thank you!
That's quite good point. To keep things simple, I have made an adjustment that Recruits and Reserves cannot see the member activity. If you want them to have an access to it, simply promote them.

Hello, it's not possible to set for a long time. The squadron documents are now a place where to put squadron-related stuff, either visible just to members or everybody.

VisceraNoticed today, that these (settlement defence plans) are available as a mission reward. (I got 8 allowing instant unlock of the engineer)

Thanks! I will update it ASAP.

In this case, as I am looking into your latest fleet updates, it seems those are genuine ships as there are no other possible duplicate ships in your fleet present on Inara. It may be best to check your fleet in EDDiscovery (I think it has something there for it?) and remove those ships there first. It has been sending the ships like those are still present.

Hello, yes, I do not usually store the star systems far in the black. But, if you have imported your journal or made an update via API, your latest location/star system will be pre-filled in the searches and should work regardless its presence in the database (I am storing its coordinates internally, which are then used for the search).

IndyIs there or could there be a way to ignore/block another user from seeing one's content in Inara? And also hiding their content from one's view? (Both in profiles and discussions.)
You can block any user under My profile > Contacts > Ignored users. You won't see their discussion posts and they won't be able to message you.

Thank you; I'm sorry I missed that. I appreciate you taking the time to point it out.
Have a good one!

although I still don't know what will or won't be possible to do (more precisely what will or won't be present in the game journal), I would like to get some general thoughts and ideas about Powerplay 2.0 in advance: Based on the currently known information as presented in Frontier streams, what do you would like to see on Inara? What outputs for PP 2.0 may be useful and so on?

I was looking at the ship details in my hanger, and noticed my starting sidewinder shows '-' for the jump range and cargo capacity. My cobra shows the proper values. I only have these two ships since I cleared my save after returning to the game years later.
I use EDDiscovery for API syncs, but I could not find any journal entries that contain these values. My assumption is that Inara calculates them to populate the ship details page. Is there anything I need to do to get those values to update for the sidewinder? It's on OCD thing of mine.
I've used EDDiscovery to sync data since the very first journal entry on this character, so everything should be synced. Ship modules, etc. are all current and accurate.
Thanks Artie!

I can help you with that one as I've had to do the same myself. Jump into each ship, log out to menu and back into the game. That will generate the journal entry with all your stats on the ship you are in.
Do that for each ship with missing stats and they will eventually make their way into Inara. The important bit is to be in the ship with imcomplete data when you log in.

Is there a way to "ping" Fleet Carrier to see if it's still where it was last reported? This is my 3.. maybe 4th time, when I am way out there, take a detour to get on a FC with services I need, only to find out there is nobody in the system. Time and resources wasted.
I am surprised that ED servers do not push that data out to some type of service we can get notices from. Do they?
It literally makes the whole "FC is at XYZ" pointless because you can never know if it's accurate or not. Jumping 1-2K ly to find out FC is long gone, gets a bit annoying, to say the least.
Thanks.
Edit: Here is a good example. Smojooe MH-Z b41-2
Nothing there.
Have not managed to find GLN-WXZ in last to reported systems systems.
