Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258
Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

I was noticing that in the logbook/diary section where I write my stuff I can't click on the number of folks that have read my entries. I used to be able to do that and see who actually read it but now no soap. Did that get changed or have I screwed something up? I don't remember changing anything in my settings but I'm old so I can't remember things that I can't remember sometimes.. hahaha. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.

SlubmanHello Artie,
Just a little request for an improvement. When providing an alternate ship configuration, despite the json pointing to coriolis.edcd.io, could it be possible to have the link provided on inara pointing to coriolis.io (the edcid.io one is being phased out) ?
Cheers.
Hello, it was just a wrong link name, the link itself should be exactly same as is in the imported data. The link name was fixed.
I think there is a misunderstanding here.
An example coriolis.io export:
{
"$schema": "https://coriolis.edcd.io/schemas/ship-loadout/4.json#",
"name": "Artemis",
"ship": "Federal Corvette",
"references": [
{
"name": "Coriolis.io",
"url": "https://coriolis.edcd.io/outfit
Despite the fact it contains coriolis.edcd.io urls, they encourage using coriolis.io instead.
I opened an issue on coriolis github as I think it's where this should be solved :-)

Hello, yes, it's the same case as with galleries mentioned above. I will return it back in some form later.

Super and thanks for the reply.

So I know we pretty much resolved the current issue that is messing with my engineer statuses, but I had a suggestion regarding their current status labeling.
In the game it is discovered (you know about them and just need to do the appropriate task for them to tell you where they are located), invited(you just need to bring them whatever they are requesting), and then you get grade 1 after completing that donation/payment task.
Here though you have acquainted, which seems to be a unused rating, and the No Access rating is fine but could be changed to Undiscovered.
so it would be like:
Undiscovered (no clue they even exist yet, in-game engineer panel they have no listing)
Discovered (you know they exist and how to unlock their location)
Invited (they want you to bring something to them)
Grade 1 - 5
Barred
Engineers probably spend most of their time in undiscovered and a level of grade unlocked, with the additional discovered time for you build up what it takes to get them to send you an invitation.
I know what Barred means, but I wonder if anyone has actually been Barred by an engineer, ha ha!
It's a suggestion since that earlier problem that occurred for me and got me to wondering/wandering/following yellow brick roads.

I was just wondering if you could possibly add the system distance in parenthesis under each Engineer...

It would be really helpful when looking for an engineer to do an upgrade without clicking only to find he's half a galaxy away...
Much appreciated.

Ah, I will take a pass on that. I have placed the values Frontier is using for journals initially and then made no check how it is exactly in the game. Thank you for pointing it out.
Rick Sanchez 3L-173Hi there, this is Graxxor posting undermy second account Rick Sanchez,

Maybe, there is a problem with space a little bit. I will try to figure out something...
DR GrandreeferHey Artie. Still always grateful for all that you do here. I did however want to mention a new thing the EDSM is doing and wondering if its at all possible for Inara to do it as well. Console players are now able to update some info from their in game journals. Is there any chance for us to see that here? I do love Inara and I think it would be a great 1 up for all console CMDRs.
Yes. In fact, I have it in the work already and was doing some testing stuff two weeks ago or so. It will be there later, as I still need to finish some things, I do not want to put any major updates before holidays (when I may be off and unable to react to possible problems) and I also want to be sure there won't be any additional changes on Frontier's side (the whole solution is work in progress at the moment). I suppose it will be online in roughly 1-3 weeks. But be aware this won't bring console players the full journal functionality, because Frontier's cAPI provides just some basic stuff. So there won't be things like material storage, missions, etc.
UrsherakI'm new to Elite and have a couple of questions. First I can not find my logs in Windows 10 to down load them. I have tried the on line suggestions and file names still "no joy". Second I'm on a PC and I have family on Xbox, when will there be cross platform play?
Your journal files should be located in: C:/Users/YourName/Saved Games/Frontier Developments/Elite Dangerous/
There are currently no known plans about possible cross-platform.

Thank you sir. And its nice to even have some of it updated and maybe in the future FDev will allow more functionality.

I am curious, I notice that we have a Discord chat widget which tells us how many people are online on our specified server. Could Inara be updated to instead use the Discord iframe widget so we could chat on our discord directly from Inara? I am pushing my people to utilize both platforms as each one has it's advantages and combining them in one spot could be really advantageous for everyone not just our group.
Going along with this we utilize Google calendar and Google forms, is it possible for us to be able to embed these tools in our Sticky posts so members can view events and shared resources? I apologize as I asked you this before, but I have been working on some Discord integrations and webhooks, and it occurred to me that embeds at the squadron level may not be possible... but my knowledge is limited.
Also, could we get a search/filter feature for the threads? I am probably the 10,000th person to ask this so I apologize for asking again if you have answered this many times.
