Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Hi Artie.

On the system pages the "Nearest inhabited systems" seems to always list the nearest 34 systems or those within 25ly (whichever is reached first).

34 systems seems to get us to about 20ly a lot of the time, where as say a 50 system limit would cover 25ly which I think is the range of expansion.

I appreciate limits are there for performance reasons, but could the 34 system limit be increased at all?

Cheers,

Sledge

Anybody have any suggestions on connecting to Frontier? It is nothing but "there was an error or your request was denied", I don't understand what I'm doing wrong, I follow the steps given to me and it says there is no useful information or it can't access the capi..?

Is this dodgy data?

A tool I use to query eddb data has these guys in no systems at all.

Thank you for the notice - yes, those data were completely false, inserted by one person via manual edits. All the data were erased and the person notified it's not a desired thing here.

Hmmm, yes, I think that I can put a full list there. I just need to double check why I have limited it there first.

That's the reason i suggested it as optionally, it would be empty by default and would work the same way as today, but could be filled if wanted. It would be used to find "the beast reasonable price" where you make a trade off between profit and distance. Currently i have to copy the values to Excel to filter it to find the "best price in range" or "closest good price". I don't know how the internal data structure of inara works, but it shouldn't be too hard to implement and i think it could be useful for other CMDRs as well.

I have some caching involved there, to speed up things, so variable limits complicate things. But, I think that there can be some predefined ranges added, I will put that on my ToDo.

As I see, you are affected by the http302 problem on Frontier's side, not providing any cAPI profile data for (some) Steam users. Please double check if your Steam and Frontier accounts are connected (you can do that on the Frontier store page). Other than that, I have no solution unfortunately, as there is nothing I can do.

Artie,
Hi :-)
Just curious, how do you delete Private Messages, or archive them?

Dumb question, but thanks.

It's archived and deleted automatically at the moment (after some predefined period).

Blackvertigo1What happened to my posts?

These were moved to the general discussion, as it was a more suitable place for that.

Commanders,

sorry if I repeat an old bug: One of my Ships, a diamondback scout, shows the cost of 0cr here. Now, it is a sad excuse of a ship, but still, it does it's job as a lander for resource gathering on planets quite well. And I am sure I had to pay for it in the shipyard.

See you in the dark o7

Onkeldata out.

Why are some (most) of "my fleet" ships missing the "View in Coriolis.io" links. I've tried looking for correlations to the ones that do and don't and I can't seem to identify a pattern.

The view on coriolis is only available on the alternate configuration screen.
This alternate configuration is only displayed when you import a ship configuration (by copy/pasting the ship config from coriolis)

Request:
On the Minor Factions Page, underneath the Controlled Stations list, it would be great to have another list of Rival Stations.
That is, Stations owned by other Minor Factions in Systems that the Title Minor Faction Controls.

Has 2 uses:
For a PMF, they can see places that require work to fully control
For others, they can find bolt holes in case of an accidental (or purposeful) Wanted status.

First of all, thx for your job on this page artie
Secondly, i have an small request, but i wouldnt be surprised that it was already asked by someones... Could it be posible that you could upload an image to the forum directly from your device, instead of pasting the image link. It would be (at least for me) easier to upload screenshots from my pc directly, than uploading to imgur/gyazo then copying/pasting the url
You can directly upload the profile or ships image from your pc, so i dont know if that could be done on the forums... But hey, just asking

My T9 has Ship Configuration [TAB] only and has the view on coriolis option.
My Python has both Ship Configuration & Alternate Configuration [TABS] with the view on coriolis option only on the Alternate Configuration [TAB]

And here be the rub, on my Python, the Ship Configuration [TAB] has all the current modules with engineered specs indicated, (downloaded from frontier i presume) but no way to play with or directly view in coriolis.io

inara.cz has the ability to fetch meta data from our frontier accounts but no way to export the ship configs it fetches. Why the option to view in coriolis.io would be only available on an "alternate config" page that has nothing to do with the actual ship config as it currently exists is a bit odd.

unless I'm missing some process which is possible.
