Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Ketobbyhello hello, I've a request to allow us to input more than 8 resource in the search bar, I understand planets can't have more than 8 hence the limit, but if we're searching up systems, combining all the planets in that system they can have 30+ resources in them

I'm having a small issue with my carrier bartender's sell orders.. i can't find them when searching for them using the "components trading" search function, which means nobody will see my orders. Is there anything wrong? Do they stop showing up on searches when the carrier access is restricted and/or the bartender service is suspended?

Hello, exactly that. When the fleet carrier has no public docking access, it's not listed, because nobody (or almost nobody) can dock in there and buy/sell stuff.

Awwww... i'd really love to have my orders public but have people directly message me to arrange a meeting if they're interested in something and make the deal in person. I've had loooots of clients, and really love meeting people! ^_^

It would be nice if a user could set a "home location" and a "current location" somewhere and be able to click a button and automatically choose either, in the various screens that is required...

Hello, it's not planned at the moment, but maybe that will change in the future, if the speculations about the base building coming into the game are correct. There are already favorites for star systems, stations, etc. present on multiple places, too (so it can be used for that).

DougDibrimiCan you consider a way to add the dates for fixed-duration faction events (War, Civil War, Elections, etc.) to the System Overview / Minor Factions pane? It's really hard to figure out how many days you have left to take action. If possible, including estimated tick time would be great too, as the tick screws up Conflict Zone combat badly, so we need to avoid being in a CZ when the tick hits.
I can recommend another app for that purpose - EliteBGS.
It relies, like Inara and EDSM, on Cmdrs updating system data through EDMC, but the Tick is recorded daily and it's possible to see it's recent history to judge trends.
You can also see graphs recording the history of Faction INF and states. If you visit the system with EDSM running and API connected that guarantees the data to be current.

Tick time, I'd recommend those who enjoy the BGS looking at the EDBGS discord, they have a tick detection section. It's a bit of a dark art catching the tick, and it moves around a lot. As Taffer mentions, the EliteBGS also has a tick page.
As for event start dates, the only option would be to capture the event when its in its pending state. Now, Inara will only show that if one of us sends it the data on the day it's pending. The war/election would then run on the following 4-7 days. However if it doesn't get fresh data every day it can't calculate how many draws have occured, the logs only show wins counts for the respective factions.
At best, I'd say we might request wars display a start date if the information is provided via a pending status update. It would then be down to the players to either provide daily updates on the wars they want listed accurately.
A war could then perhaps be listed with win-draw-lost-unknown counts. Unknowns would how many days it's been since the war state was updated. Upon updating with fresh win-lost figures it should be possible to them show how many days were draws. I think that data would be really useful to commanders.

Uss BravoHi i was looking to get some support of information on why the faction i had added to the game no longer shows as a player faction but an NPC faction on INARA..
"Player Factions" are marked so by people on Inara. There is no in-game difference between "Player" Factions and any other faction, its purely a distinction drawn on Inara.
Make a squadron, set its "Related Minor Faction" to said in-game faction, and then edit said faction on Inara to mark it as a "Player" Minor Faction.

Uss BravoThank youu for your time, it used to say it related to our squadron, IDK what has changed and for some reason on INARA i cant seem to find where i would set that faction to my squadron or how to set my squadron to that faction.
Hover over the "Squadron" tab in the top most bar, and there select "Settings" in the right-most column. Then go to "Squadron settings", and edit the field "Related minor faction (Primary)". You will need to be an admin of your squadron to do that, I think.
