Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Admiral DemonioOk i'm not sure if this is bug report only for Inara itself and not for the game, but i have this problem. I'm trying to unlock The Dweller but every black market i go,it doesn't matter what commodity i have, which system it is,what station. I ran around 10+ black markets and all of them show me this.

Admiral Demonio. The commodities I believe have to be Illegal in the system or Stolen for you to sell them in the black market.

I tried stolen and illegal,i got fined a couple of times too because security scanned me. Dunno

Ryn StarbaneHello, Just registered and went into Settings to try and import my data. When I select the Steam option, I am redirected to the Steam auth page but after approving the auth and I return to Inara it fails saying with an error detail of: "Access Denied by User".

Any thoughts?

Might wanna read back through this particular thread. This is a known issue for Steam users. Its an issue on Frontier's end. And not really anything Inara can do about it. Get ED:Market Connector. That was reccomended to me and is a bit of a work around but it does update your Inara page. hope that helps.

It is updated by players, Use EDDC to find things it tells you when it was last updated

artie, probably you're aware of the issue, but just in case.... for the second time already, roughly somewhen last weekend, my materials list stopped changing when using "import frontier data". everything else - ship loadouts, credits, ranks - synced normally.

I had that once before. Only way to get mats to sync again, and I just did that once more, is "reset profile". just unlinking and relinking the frontier acct did not help

After reset profile, I need to enter the game once to get current credits, mats, and current ship synced. rest of the fleet and stored modules, I'm unsure about. Trying to switch once to each of them and hope the next sync gets them too...

EDIT: phew. that worked. switched to each ship once in game, looked at stored modules, exited to menu and reentered, then did "import frontier data" again + all seems to be there.

That's the problem - we have no idea. We tried to use tools like Cannon EDMC plugin to record kills, but it obviously only works on PC so we saw very inconsistent results. We don't even know if it is the total kills or total bond value that makes a difference. There have been no success in estimating defense thresholds so any claims that it is based on population or such are pure rumors. There are some very dedicated AX groups on consoles and we need to include them into the equation.

....

Alright, thanks for the details. I will thank about that more and will try to find some solution.

LicainiusIt appears system HIP 36601 is not loaded in the database. When I attempt to search for the nearest Mat trader it won't populate HIP 36601 for me to select in the predictive text.

Happy DazeI was out gathering Crystaline Shards and heading back to a Material Trader. I entered the system I was in to find the closest trader and it didn't recognize the system. EDSM does, and so does EDDB. The system name is Wregoe RN-B c1 - There were several in the area that don't register with Inara. I use ED:Marketplace Connector which should update Inara with systems, correct?

Or is there an issue logging these systems? Just curious, but I really like using "Closest" on Inara to find things close by.
Cheers!

That's possible. Inara is not storing absolutely every star system in the galaxy, as it may be tens of millions of records, often without any additional use and it will get just worse over time. Please use some system closer to the Bubble as a reference point.

Captain_KirbySorry for crushing the party with a shameless and certainly for most people unimportant request for myself.

Hey Artie,

I love organizing my stuff via inara and I thought about this issue for months if not years now. The feature to bookmark "favorite" star systems, stations and minor factions is really handy, but it's slowly getting a bit crowded there. For example, I usually bookmark all the systems of my minor faction, lore-wise important systems, systems for currently great trade routes - or in a nutshell, any system of interest for me. It'd be awesome to be able to sub-categorize or simply sort the "favorite" blocks to stay on top of things.

I'm aware that it's just a minor issue, but I felt like I should give it a try and maybe you like the idea, too.

Cheers, and as always: Thanks for the great site/tool!

Hello,
I have some note about the favorites/bookmarks categories in my ToDo, but no ETA for that.

AlekzandreRelated to EDDiscovery, an Inara API app, whenever I try to start up EDDiscovery, it stays stuck on this screen and then the program stops responding. This is a bit frustrating, as EDD is my go-to for syncing with Inara, and keeping my CMDR organized in general. Does anyone know how to fix it?
Much obliged

I recommend to contact authors/report a bug on the GitHub.

MaddavoHi Artie, I don't know whether this information is contained in the data that EDDiscovery gets and whether it is part of the API to Inara, BUT...

Is there any way that we can track our reputation with minor factions?

Also, I'd really like some way to search for systems that have 7,6,5 Empire-aligned minor factions or 7,6,5 Federation-aligned minor factions. Combined with the rep level for each minor faction, this would make it easy to search for good places for lots of missions to gain rep/rank with the major power.

Another thing I've been thinking about is a Source XXX Mission helper. Say for example you get alot of Source XXX commodity missions - you get that into Inara via the API in the mission log. All the market data is in Inara. So you should all the data to make a page that tells you where to go to get all of the items you need for your missions. The opposite of the Travelling Salesman problem - the Travelling Shopper problem I guess.

For the reputation list as Aunty Sledge said. The "aligned factions" search may be useful sometimes, indeed, putting it to my ToDo. For combined commodity search (for "Source XXX" missions and similar) I have something on my list already.

Ruthless4645Copernicus City-Kungantju Is listed as "Damaged" it's not. I was just there it's under repair...

Please adjust that manually, when needed. The auto-updates are made just when somebody visits that station and supplies data over the EDDN.

TenescioI have been waiting a while for commander name verification and it kind of seems like it should have happened by now? How long does commander name verification usually take for an import of data?

I looked for an FAQ but was unsuccessful in finding it, sorry

Edit: Also, whenever I subscribe to a logbook author, it fails to show up in my subscribed authors. Yet, when I visit their page, it says I am subscribed. It sounds similar to a bug you had earlier with the gallery?

Thanks for the work on Inara, I love this website.

For the commander name verification problem - if you are one of the users affected by http 302 error, I am afraid the sync may never happen, as I cannot get the relevant data (commander name) from the Frontier server (there are none provided) and the only option is to wait until Frontier will solve it. I suppose it's that case?
I will take a look on that logbook subscription issue, thanks for the report.

Shorshi666Hello Arti. Is it possible to program an optimized inara page for smartphones?

It is possible, however it's a such huge amount of work, as Inara is providing and lot of data outputs and functionalities, it won't happen anytime soon. But it's on the list.

VandemarHello. I just wanted to say thank you for creating this site and all of the time and effort you have put into it. I could not imagine playing the game without it and am thankful for you creating it.

Take care. o7

Thank you!

I suppose you were getting an http 302 error? Then please see sticky post in this thread.

Inara (and any other tool) is providing an output based on the data provided by the game. Those data (ship availability) may be further limited in the game (by reputation and so on) so you may not be getting absolutely precise list here as nobody knows how exactly its further limited. Generally, it should be correct most of the time, but there is no guarantee, even if the data were updated just recently.

Hmmm... there is no reason why it should stop, unless there was a newer change to the material inventory made (so any older records are omitted). Did you make any manual edit perhaps? If it will happen next time, please take a look on the date of the inventory change (displayed below the list) if it does change, do not make any further updates and ping me. I will take a closer look what is going on and also what is coming in from the journals.

Not sure engineer Chloe Sedesi should be at G5 thrusters and G3 FSD. She works like the Colonia engineers and will have to be leveled up through grind. Seems like there's potential for G5 on both, though, if there's no deviation from the leveling up seen in Colonia.

I think I did the first time it happened, but don't think that happened on the second round. I did however, around the time it stopped syncing last weekend, unlink and relink my account ( not "reset profile" ) for unrelated reasons.

I believe this is the case. Drat. For some reason, it tells me it links, and then apparently AFTER that it gives me the 302, cue my confusion. I was just really hoping it might be a separate problem, I guess.

Goto Brennan Depot in Arcturus and buy narcotis from the commodity market. Then sell 1 narcotic to 5 different black markets in the area. Use inara to find the closest black market.

Thanks for the information. I will keep it as is for now, I suppose she will provide a full range of blueprint grades fairly soon.

Ah, I see. I have changed some wording, so it will be hopefully more clear now.

For all number crunchers (but not just them) is there a new feature - Daily credit transactions log!
At this moment, it's filled with the data using the Frontier data import feature (and manual journal import), but if there won't be any bugs, it will become available for implementation via InaraAPI, too. As a "side effect", all the journal imports now also store the credits state at the session end (when the "Shutdown" event is written into the journal).
If do you will discover any discrepancies, please let me know. Ideally, with an exact description what is off, how much and what may be missing. Reports like: "My credits are wrong!" doesn't help me at all and to be honest, I won't be investigating such vague reports as it's extremely time consuming. Thank you!

Also a side note about the squadrons - originally, I was planning to incorporate this feature into the squadron member overview activity, to track actions related to the squadron's minor faction. But, as the detailed transactions were VERY data hungry, I chose the current solution instead. However, I would still like to provide something to you in that regard - if do you have any idea that won't require storing of all commander's records, it's welcomed.
