Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258
Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

TheBigCyclopsHi, I hope this is in the right topic.
I got a problem with inara my market conector transmitts my data without problems for example my materials etc. but it dont transmitts my thargoid kills and they also dont show in the thargoid war tab even if i use the frontier logs automaticly or manual.
Data about kills don't logged via EDMC. they logging via load Frontier data

Dante CortezImported data has not been able to auto-populate my location recently. Is this a problem with the import process?
Rather a current technical limitation, the star system far outside the Bubble, Colonia, etc. aren't in the database and as such are not possible to set. I am aware of that and it's something on my list that needs to be improved.
KissamiesHi, I love the site and use it obsessively. A minor request tho:
Currently in the Commander privacy settings it's possible to set visibility of various things to Yes, No and Squadron Only. It'd be great if there was an additional option(s) for friends. Squadron and Friends Only and perhaps additionally Friends Only. Mainly I'd like to share my ship builds with my friends, but not reveal the weaknesses to strangers.
Yes, that may be useful, adding it to my ToDo.

As Kazakov mentioned, please use Frontier Data import for this stuff (it's set that way to ensure no data were altered).
Tigon OlogdringHey Artie, not sure if it's been mentioned before or not so apologies if this is a repeat of something:
Just did an import of my XBox logs (still smile every time I get to do that, thanks a million) and my Cobra IV came through with asterisked names. I'm assuming that FD's filters think there's something potentially offensive in "TSV Lith Of Iserath" but I can't work it out... anyway, what I was wondering was if, on import, the feed from FD comes in with an asterisked name AND there's a name matching the pattern logged here in Inara for the same ship (I assume you log the actual ship ID somewhere) then use the existing name and not the asterisked one. Actually, I guess if the incoming is asterisked then it wouldn't matter whether the existing pattern matches, just if the ship is already registered.
Just a thought.
Actually, I have a solution for that prepared for the next Inara update (which will happen later today or tomorrow). However, it may be a good idea to report it to Frontier anyway, so they can adjust their profanity filters.

Private.Eagle15It says Core Dynamic composites are found in feudal systems when it should be federal systems
I see "Federal" everywhere? Screenshot, please.

I was postponing this Inara update for a few weeks, but it seems now is finally the right time. The most important thing first - it seems that Frontier server problems while importing the commander's data were solved, so hopefully it will now work for everybody, including Steam users. You may just need to perform a new authentication to make it work.
Other new stuff:
- Ship loadout exports - there was a new data format introduced, serving for exporting and importing ship loadouts from/to Inara. Currently, there is a direct support for EDSY, but Coriolis guys will add a support for these loadout exchanges, too. You can also copy the SLEF data from EDSY back to your ship target loadout, some button for more comfortable transfer of the loadout back to Inara may be present on EDSY soon. You will find the appropriate options below your ship loadout in your fleet.
- Ship loadouts comparison - when your ship has a target loadout set (in SLEF), there as a new tab comparing your current and target loadout, marking the differences, so you can easily discover what modules you still need to buy, engineer, etc.
- Improvements for the Import Frontier data feature - there is displayed the actual state of your commander profile auto-updates, with the latest errors encountered and with an option to turn it off if you won't like it for whatever reason. Also, you may see some errors caused by the past Frontier's server unavailability and if the update attempt retries were exhausted, just perform a manual import to start the auto-updates again.
- EDDI team is currently beta-testing the implementation of Inara API, so if it's your favorite tool, you should be able to use it for updating your Inara profiles with the latest release.
- Minor improvements and fixes across the site, dozens of new records added to Galpedia and so on...

TheDementedPoet@Artie, with the new auto update feature, did you by chance add in the consoles to be able to auto update faction details via our cAPI journals, or is it still strictly on the pc side?
Also thanks for the wonderful auto update feature mate o7
It's still something I would like to do, but it's not so simple as it may look like, for performance reasons (for example, when a whole week of journals is being updated, there is usually no need to hammer database with requests for everything) and also for possible EDDN submits (so there won't be sent everything, but actually just stuff that needs to be updated). It's not hard to handle, but also not trivial, so it will take some time.
SaromonI was browsing my flight log and noticed that my last visit star systems display white, meaning that they are not in the Inara database. Is there an option to add star systems or I need to make special request for it?
Probably not, I do not want to store absolutely every star system in the galaxy, as it will just go worse over time (in respect to data size/performance). There are just some imporant, inhabitated or "close enough" star systems stored and being added (automatically).
DoomUFirst thanks for the site.
When go to outfitting and search for a components the list show station then system. The top of the list states system/station.
Looks like an oversight, will be fixed. Thanks.

I'm working on a BGS-Discord-bot, and I would like to implement an anonym information about the player-traffic of a system.
Inara would be the best source for this information.
Would it be possible to add this information to an API? I would only need a rough number of the traffic.
Greetings,
Envisitor

Don SamenHi, just discovered that Inara Ranks is not counting up when hauling goods. Is this a known bug?
And this site is just a fantastic tool, such a great work!
Some times the logs don't contain all the data and Inara can't process it. If you give it a while it will catch up. Had the same thing happen to me.
