Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

I'm struggling to get my data imported from Frontier :-(

I click on the Import Frontier Data and I get the page asking for the platform

I press the XBOX logo and I get:

An error occured or the access was denied. Please try to connect to Frontier Authentication Service again, grant Inara a permission to access your data there or wait a while if the service is offline.

Details: Access denied by user.

I have tried this a few times over the last week and the result is always the same so I doubt its the service that is offline... am I missing something obvious?

I have also tried clicking the Frontier logo and granting access through that way which allows Inara to link and fetch my Frontier ID but it still doesnt sync any data AND it sets my platform to PC... which is not the case... so I reset the link and try again but get the same as above.

Any Ideas? Does this only work with Chrome?.. I have a nasty computer that wont run Chrome but ive done it using edge, chromium, firefox.. all the ones I have and the same happens.

You most likely missed/forgot to grant permission on the Xbox Live site for Inara/Frontier to access your details during the process (I suppose it was going through XBL site)? Please double-check the permissions granted.

(It seems I should clarify the error messages a little bit, too )

Through the Xbox Live site? what do you mean? Do i need to do something on my Xbox console first to allow Inara to access my frontier data? Does Elite have to be running on the xbox at the time I'm trying to sync it or anything like that? I'm obviously missing something reasonably straight forward as I cant see as anyone else is having much issue lol

After clicking the Xbox button/icon here on Inara, you should be forwarded to the Frontier site which will immediately forward you to Xbox live/Microsoft site and then you need subsequently grant all the permissions. You can try to log out on the Xbox live/Microsoft site first, so you will need to log in again during the process, to be sure nothing was missed.

But thats just it, If I press the xbox button on here i dont get forwarded to anything... i just get the error

You must be forwarded somewhere, the button link doesn't lead back to Inara without going through Frontier first. Technically, I am not receiving any "code" value from Frontier, which means I cannot get the OAuth tokens (access and refresh) and this is the dead end. That no code is received usually means it was declined by user (respectively, by the server because user didn't give the permissions), so completely outside my control. I am not sure why you are immediately forwarded back to Inara without any further actions on Frontier/XBL site as it's happening outside of Inara, but as I mentioned earlier - try to log out on XBL site (and also Frontier's site) first, so it will require your login. If even that won't help - I am out of ideas, I am afraid.

Ok dude, I figure its something at the other end but it pretty much immediately puts up the message, which like you say, tends to suggest its getting nothing back from the target?

dunno, i'll try logging out of everything and see what happens then ;-)

But, that is titled "Latest minor factions reputation changes" << so, isn't that only latest changes? What if I wanted to see a list of all factions I am an ally with? (Or friendly?) Is that possible?

We get to see what the API provides Artie, the rest is in the hands of FDev. Sorry, I can't be any more help. I can't see anything in the journal logs either.

Mine show 25 rows, mostly Allied and Hostile. It might be set to show the best and worst relations, there are thousands of faction which you'll have reputation status with, that's too much data to be passed around.

I've edited things now, but the Nu Wanga system had some assets listed as owned by "Carii Ltd", a minor faction that isn't even in the system (may have been in the past). On the edit page for the assets the Controlling Faction defaulted to "--", and I've now edited them to the correct ones.

Something bad in the handling when a minor faction is kicked out of a system ?
