Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258
Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Laynor Luna LagoonaHey Artie
can you build a tracker that would record the IP used by a member of inara and store it in the database.
and then, each time a new IP is used on the same account, record it in the DB.
and finally, run a CRON that would do a cross control on each Account/IP to find if some accountS have a duplicate IP address.
And at the end, TAG duplicate account. (just under Inara supporters by exemple)
OR show it only for member of inara that is at least Squadron Leader only (as they can Accept new member in the wing)
All of that would help to find who create fake account, that is created only for spy other wing.
possible ?
I'm not sure how I feel about that. It's generally considered bad form to share user IPs with other users for privacy reasons. Of course the owner of the site can see IPs, there is no getting around that as it is the nature of the technology. But beyond that, I suppose it would be ok for wing leaders to be able to see the IPs of their own wing members but to put an indicator under the Avatar of every user on the forum (Even if it omits the IP)?
That I strongly disagree with. True there will be spies but that's an aspect of any online game, but I don't think that's a valid reason to encroach on people anonymity. People may have multiple reasons to have more than one account, they're not necessarily spies. Some people share the same IP because their in the same household, went to the same coffee shop and used the WiFi there or have a common NAT'd IPv4 IP address while their actually on an IPv6 address (As is the case for some ISPs in Europe), etc etc. This could open up some people to unfair criticism and mistrust because of something that is beyond their control and not their fault.
So to reiterate...
Artie seeing everyone's IPs: OK (There is no choice here)
Wing Leaders seeing their users IPs, or a Unique user ID: OK
Everyone else seeing IPs or a Unique user ID, or some sort of shared IP indicator: NO
That's my thought as someone in the IT field anyway. I've been down this road before and seen it go wrong, I'd rather not see that happen here. Slippery slope and all that.

i can not imagine arti would show anyone's ip , like you said as it is only almost a unique identifiyer.
what arti has done is to ''flag'' possible multi-accounts , and the flag is shown on aplications to a wing as a comment.
so basicly both of you already have what you want in place .
while i do not know how much cross ref is done i do know we never see an ip address

Well thats good news. Hopefully I can script something when you expose the API then.
How far has the consideration gone? If this is too "personal" please feel free to dance around the answer or PM me.
I have some brief outline about the data structure and what can be allowed to make with it in the start. Of course, everything can be improved later, but I prefer to include mainly stuff that may bring "data" to Inara rather than out of Inara there. But no specifics yet...

Pavel ZuparaYes, it is, just click on "CMDR" over the list. It will sort then by name, instead of rank.
Thank you!! Now I can find my name!!

Bit annoying the API has the ship and ships that way. If the ship object was in the format of ships and ships was in the format of ship we could update most of the inara profiles aspects automatically with some basic parsing.
