Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Artie

I was waiting on your answer of this question with interest.

Mine group is involved in Powerplay and me as Wing Commander want also to be a flight leader within this group, and form a squadron for special covert tasks that only the members of that squadron can know about.

ArtieY0urd34d: Excellent, thanks!

EddiesMinion: It's not possible, by the words of Jeremy Clarkson: "Officers won't work." But seriously - it's made that way to keep chain of command structure and also to avoid the feeling that some flight is better than others because Wing commander (and other higher ranks) is flying in it. Of course, "unofficially" is possible to fly with any flight, but it's just not displayed in the roster.

Rudolphus: There is no "wall" for it and you can do that in the game. But, same as generals are not directly in charge of squad of privates and usually do not lead them into the battle, wing commanders are not directly in charge of flights here. Of course, this doesn't prevent you from doing so, but for structural reasons there is expected that chain of command is wing commander > squadron leader > flight leader > member or wing commander > flight leader > member (or wing commander > members when no flights established). You as the main strategist will give the orders and others (eventually) will do that with or without your presence on the "battlefield". If do you want to command them directly in the game or indirectly via wing page is up to you.

So maybe this has been brought up. There doesn't seem to be a way to link to a particular Logbook entry. If I want to have someone look at one of my logs, all I can do is send them:http://inara.cz/cmdr-logbook/1219 which shows all my logs, newest one first. That's is fine if the one I want to show somebody is still the latest entry but can there be a way to link directly to a single entry so that they don't have to scroll looking for it?

Thanks!

You can Phreedom, If you hover over the edit button it will give you the link to the post including posts ID # in the bottom right (in Chrome at least) the post id is the last number after the /

then use your usual http://inara.cz/cmdr-logbook/1219 + / Log entry

so for example my logbook is http://inara.cz/cmdr-logbook/5345
my one and only post has an entry number of 1797

so its direct would be http://inara.cz/cmdr-logbook/5345/1797

Awesome , glad that made sense.

Also, to avoid any complication, exactly for this purpose there is logbook URL displayed in the logbook edit window, right below "Save" button.

As I've heard from many women in my life, "It's not you...it's me". I think it's good, just a simple overlook on my part.

In our mini faction web site at www.varangiansyndicate.com we are adding a link with a facebook like button icon (see https://goo.gl/95ou2y) for inara.cz but could not find any. Can you please give us your logo so we can create it or could you do a button by yourself and give it for us ?

edit: I found this http://inara.cz/android-chrome-72x72.png so I am going to use it. Ok ?

Gentlemen,
as I currently finished all the stuff I wanted to have in the upcoming update (this Tuesday) and just testing and tweaking everything, I am starting to plan the next feature which was discussed earlier - wing alliances. Depending on all the stuff requested it may contain it may be here fairly soon, but I would like to know from you what it should do in your opinion.

My initial idea is that any wing commander from wing with 20+ members can form an alliance (or rather coalition, to avoid possible confusion with in-game Alliance faction). Then any wing (doesn't matter the size) can join that coalition, while membership must be approved by all current coalition members (more precisely by wing commanders of wings in it). Coalition page will contain sections: About (textual, public), Current goals (textual, private), Discussion (similar to wing discussions, private, accessible to all wings members) and Members (wings in coalition list). That can be probably enough for a start.

Any other ideas, thoughts, comments?
