Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

GhroznakThere seems to be a CSS issue with the website when in the Gallery.
The top portion / sub-heading (with Squadron Mission, Shipyard and all that) is overlapping the buttons for the filters.
This appears to happen when the browser (in my case Chrome) is windowed (not fullscreen) and shrunk down below a certain width.

I have reproduced this. Changing style.css line 1172 to "div.containermain { margin-top: 100px; }" should do the trick.

A new faction state has been added, Blight. Details can be found here.
The logs show it as follow...
"FactionState": "Drought"
An example affected faction is Tell's Wrath of Ugrivirii and the system is Sanggatia.

That is how it's calculated in the Great Galactic Census site. It would be great to get this data in real time.

Gatimũ KamauGreetings Artie. Before I ask my question, I just wanted to say that your work here is phenomenal and I don't know if you hear it enough. Inara is, quite literally, the only reason I've kept playing Elite as long as I have. I don't know where the game's fan base would currently be if you had not created this site.
I don't know if you've been asked this yet but my question is: since Inara tracks nearly every aspect of one's Elite experience, will you also be adding a tracker that displays a CMDR's current amount of ARX's the same way we can currently track our credits? And, to a greater extent, will you eventually allow us to track fleet carriers once they are introduced?

About Arx tracking - there are currently no records about Arx transactions in the journals, so it's not possible to track. The support for the fleet carriers is planned (roughly, as there are almost no further details how it will exactly work known at the moment).

We were just discussing amongst us Silverbacks that it would be nice to be able to see when last time a member actually logged into the game (not necessarily onto Inara). I realize that would be impossible to automagically get that from the console players, but it seems like something from the logs (for those who choose to upload them manually or automatically) would be able to signal that.

I see no issue there. Is it happening just for some particular stations/systems? On which page it's happening exactly and in which browser?

I have a suggestion not sure how relevant it is for other players.
I kind of like to discover stuff by myself so I don't use the MARKET section for obvious reasons. It would be very usfull to have an optional filter showing only systems which are discovered by the player. So one could compare prices and find ships and moduls only from systems already visited by the player.
Just a thought. Keep up the good work!
I am currently not tracking all the systems visited, so there are no data for that. I am afraid that due an amount of such data for just this very specific feature it doesn't worth an effort anyway. However, the market page is built with a respect to some kind of exploration, so it doesn't offer the best trade routes in the galaxy available (although it's possible to do), but just in your local area. It basically saves time of "mapping" all the markets around, but doesn't offer a serious advantage otherwise. It just makes trading more comfortable.

Can anyone tell me which time the system is recording?
I was performing my last flight yesterday at 23:25h CST (mylocal time) and my flight log shows 6:25pm (i.e. 18:25h).
That does not make sense to me.
IF the site reports GMT, it should be plus 5 hours, not minus 5 hours.
Am I missing something?
All the timestamps should be displayed with respect to your timezone settings on Inara. I see your logs alright, so I guess you are using some other timezone than your actual here, please check your settings.

I have a simple request. I really love the systems and control systems view.
Currently on Inara systems view, there will be a [player] tag behind factions, if they are a PMF.
Can we have this for PP control systems view as well? I believe this would be very useful!

Go to your system and click on "Set As Current Location", that should sort you out.

I assume that's a database mismatch with procedurally generated star/sector names or something along those lines. But I have tried to set Plio Eurl XM-B b46-0 as my current location on the Commander page, and it won't take. (And it defaults my location to Sol if I try to find things nearby).

Inara stores populated systems, if you are out in the black then you might come unstuck. Sounds like it's working as expected I'm afraid.

All the functions like nearest "things" works on your location, if Inara doesn't know where you are it has to bin that data and put you in Sol. Just how it is.

Currently in the Commander privacy settings it's possible to set visibility of various things to Yes, No and Squadron Only. It'd be great if there was an additional option(s) for friends. Squadron and Friends Only and perhaps additionally Friends Only. Mainly I'd like to share my ship builds with my friends, but not reveal the weaknesses to strangers.

I got a problem with inara my market conector transmitts my data without problems for example my materials etc. but it dont transmitts my thargoid kills and they also dont show in the thargoid war tab even if i use the frontier logs automaticly or manual.

Just did an import of my XBox logs (still smile every time I get to do that, thanks a million) and my Cobra IV came through with asterisked names. I'm assuming that FD's filters think there's something potentially offensive in "TSV Lith Of Iserath" but I can't work it out... anyway, what I was wondering was if, on import, the feed from FD comes in with an asterisked name AND there's a name matching the pattern logged here in Inara for the same ship (I assume you log the actual ship ID somewhere) then use the existing name and not the asterisked one. Actually, I guess if the incoming is asterisked then it wouldn't matter whether the existing pattern matches, just if the ship is already registered.
Just a thought.
