Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

501 General VenatorIve a more or less small problem: Two days ago i created a new CMDR (2nd ACC) and updated him on Inara via the old method of log importing. I think i did then a mistake and imported some files from this first account (501 General Venator)

For some unknown reason my Fleet Carrier is now no longer set as mine, instead it is now set as the owned by my second Account (Thor-Strindberg) and i cant change it back.

How can i change it back to correct? Or can someone here set it back to correct?

As mentioned by Drago, please the correct accounts again and remove any excessive records (like credits records, ships in your fleet), etc. remaining after that. The records in the flight/mission log will be pushed into the summary later and probably won't make any difference.

JDSimQI linked my account yesterday, my carrier has a buy order for 25 Thargoid Hearts but it won't show anywhere. Any idea what's wrong?

I am not sure if it is a problem some PS4 carrier owner are facing, but the FC data retrieved from API shows a few commodities like Tritium, LTDs, etc. but no Thargoid hearts. Unless you changed the market offer meanwhile?

Halexmorph
Artie
HalexmorphHas anyone else noticed that many fleet carriers say they allow docking access for "all" in Inara but when you arrive they don't? Is this a bug or something the users are manually editing? And what purpose would it serve to lie about this? Trick diamond sellers into their quadrant to pirate them?

Not sure if this is a bug or a feature.

They changed the docking privileges since the last information update. But to be sure, do you have some fleet carrier names I can check?

That's a possibility for sure. Only point of concern for me is that it's happened on every FC that buys diamonds. So I assumed it was just a feature that hadn't been implemented yet or something.
I tried to track my flight log to see if the FC in question at the time of this report was still in that system but it is not, and I can't remember what it was called. I'll report again with the FC name if it happens again. Sorry for the lack of details.

Hard to tell, knowing the exact fleet carriers (callsigns) will help to check what exactly was going on with them next time.

OmnithrashHello. Is there an FAQ somewhere that explains how this site works?
I just went 500ly to sell to a Fleet Carrier that wasn't actually there.

This site still shows it there, so how often does this site actually update its information to be correct? Why does my Fleet Carrier not seem to show on the buy/sell screens even though my market is open? Why do some things show they were updated just minutes ago, but others not in 10s of hours?

Been looking through the tabs for any instructions or Information, but found nothing. If you can point me to it that would be appreciated.

Hello, all information on Inara (and generally any 3rd party tool) are on a principle: "the information was correct at the time of the update". No information is realtime directly from Frontier's server, so there must be also paid an attention to the time of the update. Your carrier isn't listed because your last price known was quite low so other better prices simply filled the list. But as I see your recent price is more competitive, so please just update your data (vie Import Frontier data feature) again, to import your latest data, and it should appear there.

@Artie (does @ing people work here?)
Thanks. So time isn't "this has been the same for this much time", but "here's what it was some time ago, who knows what it is now" got it.

And does autoupdate update my location, market, info etc... or doni have to manually do it. And if so how often does it auto update this info?
Thanks again

Exactly.

The auto-update is performed roughly once per day, so you can keep it at it or you can trigger the update manually, if you made some changes recently. But, your carrier position can be also updated by data of other commanders flying around and similarly your market by the commanders docking on your carrier and visiting the market, if they are having some (PC) tool sharing the data running (like EDMC, EDDiscovery, EDDI, ELA, etc.).

@Artie Indeed, other commodities do show up. Thargoid related items didn't for some reason. I have taken down thise buy orders now btw. THX for the reply.

I've just noticed that my influence points weren't changing on the faction overview even though i've been completing high influence missions. So I took a look at my mission log and the missions are the, but they don't seem to have the missions reward ++s.
Have I inadvertently changed something to cause this?

Jase

Questions Related to Fleet Carrier:

Will we be able to apply a Custom Image to our Fleet Carrier details, such as on our Fleet Page?

In my Fleet Carrier data listed here it still lists Shipyard Ship selections I no longer have available on my FC. Is this an Issue with Frontier Info I need to fill a bug report for? Or something related to FC Updating here? I'm uncertain who to approach about this. Thanks. 07

@optional

try importing your frontier data (in your profile page, top right, on inara).
your data probably just out of date - and it doesn't update in real time.

There is a problem with missions in the journal sometimes not returning any influence change (or returning the different amount). It's an odd issue and I suppose this case also fall into this category. But to be sure - do you can point me to some missions you completed, so I can check them directly?

Custom images - yes.
There is currently a minor bug (on my side) that FC updates via import won't correctly remove the shipyard/outfitting services sometimes. I have the fix prepared and should be deployed this week. But there is already an auto-pruning set that is removing all shipyard/outfitting data for fleet carriers that are older than 14 days. So whatever will happen first.

Hi Artie,

Thanks for looking into it and for all you do.
Basically all missions that I undertook on the 12th of July (with one exception I think) are not showing any influence on my mission log.

Thanks

Thanks for the clarification. On the brief check, it looks alright and no issue on Inara's end. However, and that's a general thing:

The reputation/influence gains in the missions are currently reflection this affecting the "source" minor faction, the mission giver. However often there are also outcomes for the target faction. For example your mission "Deliver 3 units of Survival Equipment" has an outcome of no influence and ++ reputation for the mission giver, but +++++ influence and also ++ reputation to the target faction (the delivery receiver). It's made that way as the mission giver has the main importance for players. I think this may be also a source of confusion, because I think the game is simply showing it as +++++/++, but doesn't specify for which faction it is on the mission reward selection. I can certainly display also the outcomes for the target faction, but those cannot be counted towards the effort for a desired faction (mission giver) and may cause just an additional confusion on top of that. But I think that I may add it there and let commanders deal with that as they wish. In any case, the mission conversion from journal to Inara seems alright.

Thanks, i'm not sure why i didn't see a change in my influence score on the faction overview page, many of those missions had a 5+ inf reward.

apologies if i'm missing something obvious

That's because the influence wasn't counted towards the mission giver faction (so Pixel Bandits) but the target faction (other than Pixel Bandits). At least by the journal.

So on further inspection, I jut accepted a mission to assassinate a pirate for Pixel Bandits. It was a 5+ Inf.
It's listing on inara shows 2+. So is the game writing the journal files incorrectly? should I be getting FDev to look at this. Can anyone replicate this?
13 Jul 2020, 4:12pm
It's a default state on the mission acceptance. The outcome on the mission completion may differ and this value may change, as you may pick a different reward on the mission end. It may show different influence in the in-game list (as a possible max. reward), but into the journal is reported the default value. I don't think it's wrong (it is not), just misleading as something else than a default value is presented to the player in the game.
