Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258
Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

I'll try again...
No... not working... what exactly should I be doing at my end?
Waited overnight and still no joy.
Hooray... worked on the second reset!

Yep, as I mentioned, your account link was not set, so it was needed to do that first. Glad it works now.

DanierosHi Artie, I'm not sure why but I had a post moved into general by you? I meant it to be sent here, even thought I was crazy and forgot to send it or something like that
Ah, apologies, I missed the second post part and thought it's a general reaction to the CGs. I am not sure I understand the suggestion correctly, though. The idea is to have markets (or commodities in such markets) which are also used for the actual community goal somehow marked, if their update time is older than the community goal start?
Haud Wesqfor modules and stored modules, could we select/filter by size/ I'm equipping a Chieftain and I'd like a quick way to see any class 1 wpns I have to fill those three hard pts
Yes, I will add onto ToDo.

Ah, taking another look it did look like a wall of text, I apologize.
You're correct, but not the community goal start date, the permanent changes suddenly were announced and happened with the galnet article, which is from Oct 1.
As an example of useful data being buried, Power Generators from outdated stations will show up as best "import to" trades. I'm having to update those markets just so I can get them out of the list and see the accurate trades.

ArtieAh, I see. Maybe just adding an additional filter settings for the market (like "do not use prices older than X days") will do the job? It's quite simple and universal solution.
Hmm, that's pretty powerful, I think that comes with a lot of collateral damage. All other commodities are fine even if their data is old, depending on regions and other filters I could see even all data getting filtered out. Also, if it gets used too much it'd perpetuate old data being kept old. But it'd definitely be a valid tool to work with, thanks for the consideration.

Arsen CrossI think it'd be great if you could import a build from Coriolis/EDSY with engineering intact for the target builds on ships, and an option to add recipes to the crafting list from that build based on a comparison of what is needed to match the ships current to the target.
Import from EDSY to the target build of the ship is already available. Either do it via SLEF format, but much easier is to first export your current build from Inara to EDSY, then do the wanted engineering in EDSY (or just switch to a prepared build of this ship). You then get an Inara-Button in EDSY, klicking on that will import the build to target build of the ship in Inara.
And yes, I support 100% the idea of automatically adding the required blueprints to the crafting list, based on the differences of current and target build. (Afair Artie someday posted, that this is on the todo list, but not quite sure).

I am currently in the Pliny System. I have opened EDD and is shows data sent to INARA. The data on the site's Market listing shows that it was updated 15 days ago. Since I'm in the system I was wondering how and when the data is updated.
That 15 days was when I first looked at it this morning... Now it says 15 hours. So did it update after I started EDD with info from when I arrived (wich was about 15 hours ago).
I think I may have just got my answer...

HojothefoolBug of some sort: My crafting list says i have most of the needed materials, My cargo screens says i need a lot more and different ones.

Actually, it's a feature. The blueprints list shows the individual blueprint requirements fulfilled (so you know that the particular blueprint can be done), but the missing components (or numbers in your cargo) are counting all blueprints requirements. In other words, the crafting/blueprints lists shows that any of those can be crafted, but that doesn't mean that all of them can be crafted. If you want to be sure that all the blueprints can be crafted, the Missing components page should be empty.
ChallengeIs this the right place for an Information request?

Yes, the star systems data are updated on visit. EDD (as many other tools) are sending such data to shared EDDN network which is the utilized by Inara, EDDB, EDSM, etc. Inara updates (via API) and EDDN updates are two independent things there, so depends on the conditions (what you are doing in the game and what is in the journal). Similarly it works for the stations - you need to dock there and open the market, to send the market data over EDDN (which then will be updated on Inara and elsewhere). Just a star system visit is not sufficient for the market update, unfortunately.

Definitely on the list.

I haven't published yet and I still nearly managed to lose an entire page, and later wondered whether I should keep around an old version of a paragraph should I find the newer one less agreeable with the rest of the text. But I suppose my dumb self should've considered using google docs or libreoffice in the first place (':
