Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

ArtieOh, I trust you that you saw that price. And I am also certain that price was on the station(s) in the game at the time of update. But as some markets with some commodities are VERY volatile at the moment, the prices may change very frequently. Please also see the explanation in the general discussion.

THE STATION I DOCKED AT PAID THE PRICE YOU GUYS ADVRRTISED NO PROBS THERE. YOU GUYS ADVERTISE BIG SELL PRICES BUT DONT UPDATE SO WE KNOW WHERE. GOOD FOR YOU

Hi, could someone please remind me how to block a user?

I adopted a faction a long time ago and it's registered as a Player Faction in EDDB. But on Inara I can't find any way to update it to say it is a Player Faction. Is there any way to do this?

The minor faction is "Brian Solutions" in the "Brian" home system.

Thanks!

Oh, yes, you are so right! You should definitely ask Artie for a refund of the expensive fee you paid for using Inara's services!

And while you're at it, keep using this polite tone and surely you'll also get a discount.

Major points to consider:

Artie runs & offers Inara for free & out of the goodness of his heart, & depends on donations.

Inara is a 3rd-party application, like the multitude of others; although, I've heard it regarded as "...the single most useful & valuable..."

There's such a thing as 'info lag' & 'update cycles'...

Market prices can fluctuate based on supply & demand.

Inara isn't E:D & E:D isn't Eve.

Just my 2 credits.

Hi Artie,

I've been doing a lot of BGS missions lately, and I've noticed the inf shown in the mission log doesn't always match the inf that the game tells me I'm getting from a particular faction. (Sometimes higher, sometimes lower, only usually out by one though.) Is this an error, or is it that inf is actually fractional, and it reports differently in game and in Inara?

Do you can point me to exact missions/timestamps, please? A long time ago I have noticed there may be some issues with the influence values reported in the journals, but I would rather to double-check that on my side first, if it isn't some parsing issue.

Anyone remember if commodity prices are influenced by trade rank and/or reputation with the controlling faction for the market? Maybe that's at play here?

Also, as others have suggested, the game can cheat. The price is reported when a commander lands at the station, but then if they sell that item in a large amount, that can change the price - but that isn't updated to the network until the next commander reports the new price.

The very good prices, especially on the most expensive mined materials, change in a few hours, so even if the price is reasonably current, it may not be valid anymore.

Also, zzRICKOzz, please understand that Artie does not control the prices, or maintain them, here on Inara. They are automatically looked up from a database that is "crowd-sourced" by player activity in the game. Getting angry at Artie about it is not only rude, it is pointless. If anything, other users of the site see you do it, and think less of you for it.

I do not understand what you are talking about. Yes, the best known price right now is 1,495, at Shackleton Hope. The best price anyone has seen EVER is 1,7000, but that price is not available right now anywhere. The prices change often, every day, and on the really expensive things, every few hours. This is normal.

Rick, this site's information doesn't work for you and you can't understand why its displayed the way it is here.

You've been given another site to use, or you can go find another one for your self.

Swearing at Artie or other users gives the impression of a spoiled child having a pointless tantrum. If this site and its users are causing so much stress, move on; you'll be better off without it.
