Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Ok, well i guess we can rule out adblocker then, thx Rotwhylr

SuperFixxxeR
Yeah i was kinda thinkin it could be cookie related too, but wasnt sure, thats why i thought i'd ask here.
No set rules using adblocker.
I just whitelisted it though, so thx for that suggestion. I can only try it
Yes, seems to be the only site it happens on that i have noticed.
I use Firefox now. But the interesting part here, is i used to use Chrome up til around 12 months or so ago. And it used to do the same thing......So, now that i think of it, maybe its not cookie related, unless both browsers share the same cookie?s?
and for last question, no, only the standard tools i use that come with windows.
Thx for the suggestions

Its not a HUGE deal if i cant figure out why its logging me out randomly, just means i have to login again. Its saved in the browser so like i say, no huge deal, but would rather try to fix it if i can

As a note on log-outs, it is my experience that I get logged out any time my computer "Sleeps". Returning to activities always pops the login screens which I do not respond to. I just remind myself never to "sleep" the machine, shut the machine down and restart. Magically everything is remembered again.

Probably something to do with my power saving options with the sleep mode.

ErlaedHi.

I've noticed that my thargoid kill count on Inara is lagging behind what I see in my  Journal.*.01.log files.  I count with the utility https://github.com/canonn-science/TCS as well as little utility commands like
This is after a exiting ED completely and doing an "Import Frontier Data" on Inara.  I cross-checked that the import was right - my hyperspace distance on Inara matches the distance shown in game.

Any thoughts?

Hello,
depends when you started to do the updates. As journals doesn't contain any "lifetime" value for the Thargoid kills, it needs to be tracked one by one in journal records, so you may have just the recent kills counted in there.

Arne S. SaknussemmLatest update on the Polonium Incident: now it shows q.ty 150 (I had to go back on the previous satellite to fill my storage to full) but still a Grade 5, Very Rare Icon and description...

Also Antimony is marked Very Rare Element...

As mentioned earlier, something is simply wrong with a few material qualities. I think it was reported to Frontier some time ago, but if it's not in their bug reporting tool, it worth to be added.

SquareyezIm not sure if this is a bug or not, or if its to do with updates, but seems that Inara keeps loggin me out all the time. By that, i mean, yesterday, it logged me out, i logged back and it was fine. Today, same as yesterday. But im finding its doing this at random. It can go weeks or even months without logging me out, then all of a sudden it starts logging me out all the time.
I do have "Remember Me" turned on, but seems it doesnt matter if its on or not. At one point, i even tried turning it off, logging out, turning it back on and logging back in again, but made no difference.

To describe what may happen when an user is logged off Inara. There are two essential cookies stored - for the current session and for the "persistent" session when a "remember me" option is used. The following may happen:
  • when no "remember me" option is checked, the current session may expire on inactivity (but there is pretty large timeout, something like a day I think). When "remember me" is used, the new current session token is acquired on timeout.
  • when no "remember me" option is checked and Inara is used on multiple devices, the each device session may invalidate each other (so you will get logged off on another device). When "remember me" option is used, the new current session token is acquired when no longer valid.
  • when user hits "log out", both sessions are invalidated. So for example when Inara is used on multiple devices and the log off is performed on one device, the other device(s) gets logged off, too (and a new login is required, doesn't matter the "remember me" option).
  • if it's not any of the case described above, then something is removing cookies in your browser. Either the adblocker, another browser plugin, manual history/cookies removal or another non-browser software you may be using and may do that. I think there was somebody with this problem a year ago or so and he figure out it was some browser plugin that caused that.
I hope this will help to track and solve your issue.

Thanks for your input, but its not that. My machine never sleeps. Its either on, or off, so we can rule that out too at least. Thx again

Was messing around with my settings in Firefox today, in the privacy section. Realized that there was cookie control in there. Is there a cookie from this site that tracks you? Coz if there is, just wondering if that could be why Inara is signing me randomly?? Its set to cross site and social media.

Cookies are used for a lot more than tracking.

It looks like just Google Analytics and for remembering you login (which is the thing you want).

So, keep cookie support enabled for this site if you want to remain logged in.

Are you fighting someone at the time and they battle log? Logs you out too.

In both session cookies are stored just the session tokens. It cannot be used for tracking, as it's quite abstract thing, however both are absolutely essential for the correct site functioning (as you noticed with the logouts). I have noticed no issues on Firefox on the standard settings and it seems it may not be the problem origin (unless you have some custom setting there), but you may try to put the exception there, maybe that will help and better to be sure.

Thanks for that Artie. My settings were on custom. But i have no knowledge of changing it to that setting myself. So i either changed it a very long time ago which is more than likely no doubt, or it was what Firefox set it to.
I set it to standard, so hopefully this fixes it now. Will find out soon enough
Thx to everyone else who tried to help as well o7

There's a new builtin board for that sort of thing.

You have to slow it down for us old fogies. Now let's see here . .
. . New builtine board for "that short of thing".
Not seeing anything in the way of new tabs here, or anything at the Iinara.cz root level . .
How's about another little hint.

Considering that the ones that are searching for wings, are most new on Inara, it seems they are too deep buried...

Buried? They will see it right on the squadrons list page (among other places mentioned), which I suppose is one of the pages they will visit first when looking for a new squadron.
