Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Thanks for the screenshots! I see everything fits, just FSD interrupt for dumbfire missiles needs some adjustments.

uhm.. is it a bug in my browser then? because i only see 5 of them...
both the same in seeker and dumbfire section.. just 5.. or am i too stupid to use this? :s

Ah, that's the issue! I will re-check that, just to confirm - are you absolutely sure that all of them are applicable to missile racks? For example, some of them like Stripped down wasn't possible to apply before.

Well.. I made Screenshots of it at the live Server...  I can use them all.
But i will Check it again. Ship is still docked there. Give me some minutes

Edit: I checked them all. every single one of them is applicable to missle racks.
But now that i think about it, you are right. this sounds odd. Maybe its an elite bug?

Thank you for confirmation. Probably something silently changed meanwhile and as every of these experimental effects makes sense on missiles, it probably won't be a bug. I will add the effects there in the next update.

Might be a known bug: in Commander privacy settings, "Yes (squadron only)" behaves the same as "Yes (default)". In other words, squadron-level privacy doesn't work.

Do you have some example (exact commanders/pages), please? Is see no issue there. You can send it to my PM, eventually...

Edit: Ah, wait, now I see it didn't work entirely for ranks in the sidebar... is that the case?

for independent commanders if they use any privacy setting with "squadron only", they share theirs details with all those who are not logged (I've tested with anonymous panels in Firefox). When you are logged, then are details non accessible. If used "No" sharing it disable access. For commanders which are members of wing the same setting (squadron only) work correctly and you cannot access details.

Thanks for the details. The bug with displaying stuff set as squadron only when a commander wasn't in a squadron was fixed. The ranks displayed on some pages will be fixed in the next update.

Request: add ability to have double squadron membership on inara. I know you can be in only 1 squadron in game, but still. I know many people who are in multiple groups and that's why i think double membership feature for squadrons on inara would be nice.

Currently, it's very rigid and not flexible enough to organize a squadron in Inara.


I emailed Artie about the text in Squadron Role Edit. I was hoping there would be a way to change the text regarding how long before a recruit is moved up. Not an option to edit currently, but I would really like to see this as an editable section.

I realize the only people who see this are the ones editing, but if I (as Chief of Staff) want to set rules for others to follow that's the best place to do it.

Consider it an "Enhancement Request".

If this gets added, please make sure that Commanders already in a Squadron is made very visible. I want to know if a Commander is already in a Squadron when they apply to ours.

No plans for the multiple squadron membership at the moment. But, I would like to add an option for the current squadron supporters to "promote" any of them to "honorary member". It won't be a full squadron member (because it's not possible in the game, too), but some kind of "part-time member".

We have people like that. On discord they get the "reserve" role. You might use reservist as your term on Inara, it fits well (for combat wings).

I'm back after a break, just wanted to say thanks Artie and crew for all the updates and hard work. Lots of cool changes in the time I've been gone.
