Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

SharpSteelInara does not represent "Elite I" exploration rank, it wrongly states that it is "Aimless".
Probably the same problem for Trading and Combat "Elite I" ranks.
Uh, that was fast! I will fix it later today. Also, how was your progress displayed in the game? Was there an actual progress or you still saw the Elite with 100% until it switched to Elite I with 100%, without the actual progress being displayed?

There was no progress, I just have "Elite I" will 100% of progress, so not sure when I'm going to achieve "Elite II".

There was no progress, I just have "Elite I" will 100% of progress, so not sure when I'm going to achieve "Elite II".
Is this an Odyssey only thing? My logs aren't showing anything different. Rank 8 on everything which is the basic Elite. Also still rank 28 on Emp and Fed which should be 14 so that's still broken.

ArtieYeah, it's broken in the journals. Navy ranks are reporting double the value, regular ranks with a value 8 (Elite) and above are reporting the progress stuck at 100%. I have made a workaround right now (for the regular above-Elite ranks), please update your stuff and it should show properly on Inara now, as I hope.
Do the following notes need updating from the Overall Rankings page?
The score for the main ladder is based on Combat, Trade and Exploration ranks, including their progress (5000 points for each tier).
Is it still 5K per tier including all the new ranks, plus Mercenary and Exobiologist.
If my maths is right we'll be going from 3 x 8 x 5K, to 5 x 13 x 5K.
So the max points went from 120K (plus the medal extras) to 325K (plus the medal extras).
However the Horizon players don't get the extra ranks and obviously not access to Mercenary and Exobiologist.

ArtieAh, yes, thank you. There should be the Mercenary and Exo ranks added into the description, those are counted towards the rankings score. I was thinking about keeping it to the old ranks only, but... well, it will affect the Odyssey players not able to progress further although the ranks are present in the game, so it was either one way or another.

What happens when players switch between Horizons and Odyssey (there are still valid reasons for doing this). Can your data-feed handle people's ranks going from "Elite III" to "Elite" and back again every time they switch modes?

I suppose those ranks got reported in the journal as Elite III and maybe "cut" in the game display output to Elite, but I am honestly not sure at the current state of things with the ranks reporting broken. Also, I have no easy way how to detect Horizons/Odyssey for updates via Inara API (without adding some extra flag there or rely on app handling it somehow) or mid-session journal updates, so no special handling for that. If the ranks are being reported differently between Horizons and Odyssey, then it's better to report Frontier the problems. But even if that's a case, I suppose there won't be many players switching back and forth between the Odyssey and Horizons regularly anyway.

I doubt you'd need to look for a switch, but if I'm rank 13 in Odyssey and only rank 8 in Horizons I guess you just need to always go with the latest figures if they are not less than what is currently on record. That should sort it, a bit like the temporary fix you've put in where us manually correcting our Emp / Fed ranks aren't being un-done with the duff data in the logs.

Yeah I think they will. When I fly with AXI players we always go into Horizons as it ensures everyone can wing up, plus you get more credits for killing Thargoids in Horizons (for god knows what reason). There are no benefits to flying in Odyssey so people go to Horizons.

ArtieIt's not so simple, because somebody may set Elite V manually and on the data import I certainly want to degrade his ranks to the actual value. Another case is the save reset in the game. Honestly, I am not very willing to implement complicated workarounds for a problem that can be very easily solved by Frontier, so if the rank reporting between Horizons/Odyssey will be really an issue and players will be ranting about it, I will just direct them to Frontier...
Yeah you'd need to flag values as user entered or feed entered. I mess you'd want to avoid for sure.
To be honest, I suspect most people don't care if their ranks hop about, just as long as they can play how and when they want to.
If it does become an issue at least you won't be surprised when it pops up. Off to the Frontier Forums with them.

Thanks for the info, it seems that something may have changed and some stations disappeared with the Odyssey then. There certainly was at least one commander docked ~10 days ago, as I see in the logs. I will investigage.
