Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258
Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Antoneeanyone else having a problem with Inara connecting to Frontier servers to update info? I keep trying but keep getting the message to reset/re-link my account which I have done, that is successful, but then it still fails to update my info with the same message http code 0 fetchcode 28
I have adjusted your import date to skip the errors, please try again.
Rrec-bfWhy are Fleet Carriers not considered as being an asset in INARA? It can be decommissioned and the currency will once again become attainable to commanders in the same manner as any other ship in the sim/game. Currently, it is the largest asset we can own at the moment. It should be considered as such. But right now INARA, doesn't seem to consider it to be so.
I'm talking overall asset amount here.
Yes, it is currently a known issue. Please see the link in the sticky post to the official bug report made and vote there.
They'WorI would like to propose a site feature. When you import a target loadout for one of your ships, it would be nice to be able to generate a crafting list for the nescessary engineering. It should require manual interaction.
Definitely on the list, no ETA yet, though.

The Installation above does not exist in the system and unfortunetaly it cant be deleted.

Also wanted to suggest to add some kind of overview of all carriers present within a faction's systems. Would be very helpful to us, at the very least

Sorry to be pain in the bottom, as you surelly have more pressing troubles with Fleet Carriers recently, but have you eventually had a look at the issue I reported, where Credit balance was not updated until end of day ?
I'm sure I have seen it working at one moment, seeing correct balance after importing logs, then it went back to adding the balance from current day at the end of that day (as it was before).
However I have noticed today that it seems to be not updating at all today. I've had a session two days ago, where I earned some money, and access to an engineer, and then short session yesterday, both followed by manual import, which was ok. Today I can't see any update in credit balance, nor my achievements. I can see credits being tracked fine on transaction logs page, but that seems to be all updated.

Piotr

Thanks, removed.
DragoCubXJust wanted to ask whether assigning a custom minor faction/allegiance to fleet carriers (only for Inara-internal use of course) is still on the list of things to come?

I still have it on the list, I must however evaluate if it won't collide with possible future plans about minor faction conflicts assets lost/won tracking.
A list of carriers being in the systems controlled by certain faction is unlikely. I will write it down, but no promises, it's quite specific.

Thanks for the additional report. It seems your journals are somehow cursed. In your current journals there are some events completely missing (like LoadGame, Commander, Ranks, etc.) and I don't know why. It seems like a problem on Frontier's side, but I do not see that happening in the other journals (at least in a few I checked). With such events missing, I simply don't have the information needed (for example like the initial credits state at the start of the session, which is contained within the LoadGame event). Let's see if it will be happening for the next journals or it's just a temporal thing. I also suppose your game client was restarted between the sessions, right? (it probably has no effect, but may provide some clue why it's happening)

It used to have researchers, haulers , croppers and there was some kind of column sorting.
This is no more? It was very useful for data gathering, pirating and similar stuff.

I did restart the launcher between games, yes. The first session, one in which I have gained access to engineer and earned some credits, was two days ago. I have switched my computer off after that. I have imported profile manually next day, before starting session. I could have dome it while waiting for the launcher to start, so the import could be with launcher running, if that changes anything. Then I started the game. I have switched computer off for the night again, and started it up today just before noticing the issue and posting. Just to give full info, I have ran import again today, which seems to be successfull as ever.
If that matters, I launch game via Steam, but as well have created account directly at Frontier, and linked to Steam account for key. Also, I play in solo mode. Don't expect any of that to be an issue, tbh.
Would any of the missing events be at my computer ? Think there is local trade info cache saved locally, I could look through any other files if there is chance of finding anything useful there.
Don't worry too much if I'm lost cause As long as I can search for info on site, and my ships are up to date (eventually) so I can export them to EDSY and have a look at the setup, that's fairly ok.
Guess "profile freeze" is a punishment for wanting to have stuff up to date after import, without waiting for a day for it to catch up

Piotr

Good idea, it may be interesting to check what your local journals are containing. If do you can send me your journals from the last week, I can compare it to what was received from the FDev server. This problem is present even for the older journals, so the time doesn't play a role in this matter and I am afraid there is also nothing we can do about it. But the comparison of journals mentioned above may be useful for reporting the problem back to Frontier.
CodgerHow do I get myself to show up as the owner of my carrier? It doesn't appear in my fleet for some reason.
Please connect your account to Frontier and update your profile via Import Frontier data feature. It should assign the carrier to you, if present in the journals.

When links from Inara are dropped into things like discord they use <meta property="og:description" as the text to show in the associated link.
The problem is, every Inara link looks the same and you can't tell one from another to give context for the link to help you find the link in discord.
I'm assuming discord reads the header from the page and not the site as a whole (it might need testing to confirm that).
It would be super helpful if the meta tag was specific to the page, so it detailed the system/faction/commander/faction name, etc depending on the page's content.

FC jumps are updated correctly.
My location is not updated at all.
I was testing this issue by using EDMC and then EDDiscovery to send data to Inara.
Data is sent correctly in both cases.
My location just does not update.

Jason FrimantleIs there a way to set Inara up to provide notifications to one's email inboxes when we receive private messages or particular forum posts?
Private messages should be putting a "!" on your "Commander" tab, and when you click through, you should see the "!" by your "Private Message" option on the left. Being quoted or replied to in fora doesn't though.

Right, that works fine, but for those occasions where I'm not near my PC for an extended period of time, I was curious about having notifications delivered via email as well as showing up with the "!" as you describe.
