Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

ArtieActually, I think all the physics discussion was very related to Elite - it was about the game realism, what exactly game needed to bend from real physics, etc.
A few posts about the Star Trek were just a "nerd distraction" (which I liked, despite the fact it wasn't written in Klingon ) and were just a minor.

I can arrange a Klingon translation if needed. (just humor!)

Arne S. SaknussemmArtie,

really, are we serious? The General/Game talk thread is becoming a chat room for everything but game talk.
I really like to read people discussions about tv shows, quantum physic, yesterday meals and stuff but scrolling through 10+ pages of it without a single "game related post" seems a bit too much.

I know it is just me, but...

Well, then you could always make a post about a game related topic to restore the balance.

I did it in the past and I do it when I need it. Otherwise I look for tips and tricks that may be useful in the future. Can't find any lately because no one is chatting about the game anymore, over there...

And that's my point, pal, thank you for bringing it to the table. I agree and I like the idea of "general talk about anything". I'm only proposing, I repeat, proposing (not opposing) to split the two subjects for the sake of it.

And as I said, because I understand that it's only me, I agree with the Host rules.

But proposing isn't a crime, it is?

You can tell I'm not fighting with you about my unpopular opinion because I end every post with a winky face.

Even though this thread should be in general discussion, (Or privet chat) I'll continue it here because I have a lot of respect for the content of the board I'm using and I like to keep it on the appropriate topic.

I posted it here because it was a request: to split Game Talk and General Talk in two different threads... so that if someone wants to follow one is not "forced" to follow the other too. I'm not opposing any small talk and I generally like to read it, I'm only proposing something that, imho, may be beneficial for the community (especially  for the newbies).

That would bring balance to the Universe too... two Sidie with one Brick, ehm... T-9.

;)

Best of luck. Sounds like you're very organised so that'll be a massive help o7[/quote]

I do like writing, it can be hard to find somthing I feel passionate about enough to write. I have a lot of unfinished projects. A couple of years ago I started using an app called Scrivener to collate my writing, it has been a huge help but I go through stages where nothing comes out no matter what I try. The writing I posted for this site is the first thing I "published" in probably 2-3 years. The advent of dropbox and cloud saves has helped me tremendousl;y in keeping track of what I write.

The current climate of staying home has helped a lot, But when I worked a corporate desk job a few years back, I would write about 3000 to 5000 words a day for reporting and emails - during that time I barely put two creative words together because my writing mind was just drained - though I would read a lot more then than I do now.

I reckon organisation is in the eye of the beholder - My study looks organised to me but trust me, to everyone else its a mad proffesors nightmare one step at a time though, one word at a time, tats how it starts and then hopefully it flows

Keep at it though. The community is what we make of it. Personally, I'll take a few days of off-topic (as far as Elite goes) conversation, over the bitter fighting we've had about what is griefing, and how some players are carebears while others need to "git gud".

I see your point - this is Inara, not Reddit, and so we should keep closer to the topic of the game. But, discussing sci-fi or the physics of space flight, is relevant, if not exactly on topic of ED specifically.
