Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Arsen CrossI noticed that the same logo being used for the squadron home page is being used for the minor faction. This is awesome however the size/use case differences are unfortunate.

While I do have a square logo only for my Squadron I use the full size logo for the squadron page. It'd be nice to see a separate logo upload for use on the minor faction page so it doesn't look all chopped up as seen in the link below to CROSS Corp faction.

Please add some extra blank space to the logo sides. It will have no effect on the squadron page but shrinks the logo on the minor faction page. It's working workaround until some more clean solution.

Awesome, will do! Thank you.

Why the change in commodities from buy/sell to imports/exports?
30 Jul 2020, 10:34am
Ny XI'm getting the [httpCode: 0, fetchCode: 28] as well!

Is there anything I can do on my end to fix this?

Hello, the import date was adjusted, please try again.

SHADY_HAGGISWhy the change in commodities from buy/sell to imports/exports?

To make it more clear. However, if it will show that despite the expectation the outcome will be actually worse, I will do further adjustments.

Danime too, i noticed my stats were quite out of date

There was a problem with Frontier's service while requesting the data. Please try to re-link your account (reset account link in the Settings) and repeat your request.
[httpCode: 0, fetchCode: 28]

Please try again, too.

Thanks, whatever jiggerypokery you did fixed it

There's a problem with finding nearest services relative to current location inside same sector on inara I looked for nearest interstellar factor inside the inner Orion spur and it told me the closest one was 1800 some light years away.

Please use the exact reference star system you are in (or any closest).
The regions cannot provide you pinpoint accuracy due their size and are intended to provide only just some rough point of reference when far out of inhabited star systems with no (reference) star systems known.

Hi Artie,

lately I've got some problems with EDMC <-> Inara. I am not quite sure when it happens, but it seems to be related with engineering (when I am applying blueprints to modules). In EDMC I get a very long message. Something like "Inara: Too many requests. Slow down Cowboy. If you are using different tools which send data to Inara, make sure only one is doing that". After that I get blocked for one hour or so.

I only use EDMC as tool to send data to Inara, EDDN, EDSM and I have double checked that only one instance of EDMC is running. I don't know whether this is a problem with EDMC or with Inara. Can you please have a look at this and give me a hint? Thank you.

EDIT: I just looked into the EDMC-log, this is the error message:
"Inara 400 Too much requests, slow down, cowboy. If you are using multiple applications capable to access Inara API, please ensure that just ONE of them is updating your profile and so on. Also double-check that the same app is not running in multiple instances at once. The access to API was temporarily revoked (1 hour)."

EDIT2: opened an issue on EDMC github

I don't know which EDMC version are you using, please update to the latest version. I know EDMC guys are working on some polling rate changes and not sure at which stage it is, but when fully implemented this error shouldn't happen at all.

I am using the latest version (4.0.3) and opened an issue on EDMC-github (see EDIT above).

Hey Artie,
I am have had problems with updating my data for a couple of days now. I tried reconnecting several times, didn't work.

Can you help me out?

Hey Artie,

Love the site!

I am really interested in understanding Fleet Carrier trends, and I use Inara for that purpose a lot. The one thing that I really wish would be added is the ability to see (and sort by) carrier decommission status. Is this data already visible anywhere on Inara, and if not, can it be added?

Thanks for all of your hard work on the site!

Please try again, it seems it was just a http 206 error at the moment and it should work now.

Hello, it's problematic. With the fleet carriers and the way they are being reported in the journals, as I can say "the carrier is there" but not "the carrier is not there". So, I don't know if the carrier was decomissioned or just moved elsewhere and his new location and state was not reported yet. From the journals, I can say that their owners started (or stopped) a decomission process, but not if the carrier was already decomissioned (and as the fleet carrier owners may not import all the journals, it's dangerous to decomission the carrier automatically, because they may stopped the process and just do not reported it (yet)). I will probably remove carriers nobody heard about a couple of months from the database at some point, but at this moment, I am aware of just two carriers that were with some certainty decomissioned already.

Just a quickie, (calm down boys..)

When mining, what are 'unallocated resources', and should they be ignored?

thankyou, in anticipation,

AFAIK, this occurs when you run out of cargo space and your refinery is full, and there are still collectible resources being targeted by your collector limpets.

It means all the bins on your refinery are full.

You will have to go to the refinery page (below the cargo inventory page) and empty either a bin or the hopper that fills them.

It does sometimes say it, then fill a bin from the other hopper and then empty a bin as cargo, so auto clearing it, but not often...
