Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

A suggestion:

Certain gameplay questions tend to get repeated quite often, like where to find Meta-Alloys to unlock Farseer, where to go to grind Imperial and Federal ranks quickly or what the most efficient ways are to farm specific engineering materials. Maybe a FAQ site answering those questions could be added?

The thing here is that a lot of stuff in forums, reddit and YouTube are out of date. A FAQ page could be updated quickly if stuff changes again.

True, and a fair point.

My Wing uses stickies at the top of the fora for the topical info that we want to have readily available. That could work for what you're suggesting. Or maybe in the Galaxy sub-pages that are relevant to materials, Engineers, etc?

A sticky in "General / Game talk" similar to the ones in the RP threads could work.

Alternatively you could be putting a tab at the top of the page between "Market" and "Commander" or between "Gallery" and "Search", making it easy to spot?

I would love to see the tab title "INARA - Elite:Dangerous companion" include context sensitive information in a very early position... or have the current name shortened to only include the word INARA while including the system name or item/recipe/station etc name in the title.

While going through updating my PMF I realized it is very unwieldy trying to flip back and forth between tabs with one for each system. While looking through my list of written objectives and updating it I want to be able to flip between my tabs quickly without having to remember what I placed where or creating a tab management system for it.

Thought this might be a simple change to make BGS decision making work easier on the platform.

Nope, it won't be. Inara deals with inhabited systems, and you are out in the black.

Quite a few uninhabited systems are in there, though. Is there any rationale as to why some and not others?
e.g. IC 2391 SECTOR ZK-O B6-4 is in, but IC 2391 Sector NI-T c3-38 isn't. Neither is inhabited (both on the way to a Guardian site).

Especially as HIP 36601 is of such usefulness with the Mat Farming potential.

We will need Artie to answer that one, but at a guess I would say perhaps distance from an inhabited system?

Well, I was asking about something like that some time ago - there was very low response to that, so I haven't bothered with that. But, let's try the simpler approach and let's see how it will work - there was a new thread created, where the FAQ posts can be placed (and referred to). If it will work, it can be further enhanced, etc.

Basically, a new star system is being added when it holds some further information like there are stations present, there are some factions present and so on. The adding of the star systems is based on the EDDN data coming in (with market, faction, etc. updates). A star system without such details may be added when it's close enough to the Bubble (1000 Ly) or Colonia, but as those systems aren't coming in (with the updates mentioned above), there may be some gaps. Some star systems may be present outside those rules, for various reasons (like Gnosis flew there in the past). But, I would like to make some improvements in that area, it however won't contain every star system in the galaxy anyway (there is no important reason to and the data will get huge over time).

I'd still very much like to have Bon Vivant as a role.

It's just a selfish philanthropist realy.. .. Is Philanthropist also not a role we can select?

I would like to see a feature where registered players can op in to allow this site to track a players fleet carrier location. Site users could then use the find nearest carrier as an option. I think this would be especially useful for explorers out in the black who can find one for repairs etc. I think it should be op in just in case some commanders do no want to be apart of this. I'd like to hear your thoughts
