Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

ArtieGood idea, both added (without that green colour as it has its complications, though).

Nice, thanks!

Have you changed something with the sort algorithm? It now seems a bit broken to me. Before, when sorting after INF (highest first), the highest faction was used (all good) for sorting, even if the system has low-inf-factions, but now it does no longer do that. Systems that have low-inf factions seems to be "unsorted", are sorted behind the ones without low-inf-factions. It worked perfectly as needed until a few minutes/hours ago.

Sorting after lowest inf first still works as expected.

The sort is based on the non-locals over system controllers as those are the ones important for invasions. It can look a little busy, but it does give you what you need when doing BGS planning.

Yes, you are right if sorting for lowest first (and that does what expected and before) for searching possible targets for expansion by invasion.

BUT: if am searching for competing expansions I am sorting highest first, and that needs to be done by the faction with the highest inf (what it does as long as there are no low factions in system) and I am nearly sure, it did it this way yesterday, although I may be wrong ...

It did sort on the controlling faction initially, but I spoke to Artie on release day and he changed it to be more expansion focused (as this is a big improvement for BGS folks).

I do understand what you mean about ordering on highest being more controller focused. Unfortunately these sorts are client side so the "data-order" value is sent to the client and that's what is used, it can't change depending on your table settings without reloading the page which you wouldn't want to happen.

Moving the controller and non-locals to be in their own columns would give us the flexibility required (I did ask for that), but screen width is at a premium so we end up where we are now. Everything is a balancing act.

Nerys NymeiArtie, may I respectfully request a little feature?

We are using a multi-recipient private message to exchange ideas for our role-playing, and it is already five pages long.

Some time ago you added the pagination even at the top of forum pages, and it has been a great improvement for the navigation. Would it be possible to do the same thing for the private messages, if they exceed the length of one page?

Alternatively (or in addition), another solution could be open a private message directly to the last page. Both implementations would improve the user experience, because now we open the message at page 1 and we must scroll down the whole length to reach and click the Last button.

Thank you!

Nerys

Ah, yes, that's quite annoying behavior. I will take a look on that.

EpisparhHey Artie,
there is a small display bug in the CMDR's signature:

The allegiance is displaying a property instead of text.

Example: my signature

Please disable and re-enable the signature, it should fix that (that bug was fixed some time ago, but may remain on some existing signatures, so this will force it to regenerate the image).

Do you can please elaborate a little bit the process? I suppose you are looking for the star systems with the lowest control faction influence, correct? As Aunty mentioned, there is a problem with the horizontal space a little bit, so some compromises were made, but maybe I will squeeze something in if necessary.

Hi Artie,

here we go (currently logged in with my alt-account)

If you sort ascending (lowest inf first), everything is okay. List is sorted by the value of the low-faction-inf. This is needed for expansion by invasion. Searching for systems which have non-native low-influence factions, used in the system, where I expand from.

If you sort descending (highest inf first) Inara uses value of highest faction for sorting, if no non-native low-influence faction is in the system. If it is, it uses this value. So you get a list, which begins with systems which have a (controlling) faction with high influence (usally about +-70%), if you scroll down you will reach the systems which have a non-native low-influence faction, and so this value is used for sorting. So basically it is the very same list as above, but the other way round. So far, so good.

But, if I decide to sort the list descending (influence), I would prefer, if Inara would always use the inf-value of the highest-inf faction (most of the time the controlling one).

Why?

I use this in a system which is my wanted target of expansion, because I am interested who will probably compete with me to expand into this system. These are factions within the cube of the target-system, who are already in (pending) expansion and/or have a high influence value, so can reach (pending) expansion state soon. So now knowing this, I can work in their system to slow them down.

If you like we can talk about that in your discord, I am already a member there.

Hi,

I have noticed that the discounted filter for station shows a fraction of the available stations (Li yong-rui specifically) . I just confirmed this in game with 3a thrusters:

No Discount:
Fuelum - Wollheim: 495.215cr

Following Inara:
Akkadia - Calvin Lawrence 420,933cr

Also under LYR but does not show up in searches on here:
LHS 20 - Ohm City: 420,933cr
(this one is closer by about 8ly)

Hi Artie, apology for bothering again. I have been getting this issue again a few days ago, can you help looking into it? Thanks.

Hello, thanks for the report, I will take a look on that. I know LHS 20 was providing some discount in the past but stopped to be active back then (and there are couple of star systems that are or were providing discount not related to Li Yong-rui (as only controlled systems should be affected), on various stuff).

WayyuHi Artie, apology for bothering again. I have been getting this issue again a few days ago, can you help looking into it? Thanks.

I have multiple Inara accounts for my Xbox Cmdrs. Different names and different email addresses. But somehow my 2 accounts get mixed up. it shows my alt with all my mains information and removes information from my main. Sometimes it corrects itself but other times it does not for several days. Is there something i should know when having multiple accounts?

Hello, it's certainly not an issue on Inara's end and very likely also not an issue on Frontier's side. By a quick check, it seems the account were simply mismatched while linking/granting the authorization. Before linking the account, please double-check you are logged out of XBL site first so it will ask for a login during the process, to ensure the correct Xbox account is used and linked.

Hello

Are the awards (INARA badges) working properly? I recently moved a ton of passengers and trade for the rescues/CG missions and no awards. Maybe I haven't met the parameters yet?

Thank you!

Hi,

My pax score on my Inara Cmdr page is not going up from 4471 (sooo close to 5000). I've done a few pax trips and the number has not changed even after doing an update of data from the game. Any ideas please?

Tx and o7
