Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Do i lose money when i do this?

Suspending and re-enabling any service doesn't cost any money. Only uninstalling and reinstalling services completely does.

Alright thank you but will it work after that?

The black market on your carrier won't work after suspending and unfortunately there isn't any other workaround for the Frontier's API problem until they will fix that. Well, except updating market data via EDDN network, which means somebody must dock in, open the market screen, have EDMC, EDDiscovery, etc. running and update the market data. But, fleet carrier black markets aren't exactly frequently used services anyway, so suspending it temporarily should make you not big harm.

I've been trying to use Inara shipyard search function, & I keep getting the module for what I previously searched instead. I tried clicking to remove that module, & then making sure I go back to selecting that ship & typing in the name of the ship, selecting 'Discounted Only' & whatever I do, the search keeps returning to that item search.

What am I doing wrong? How do I clear the previous search result, & refresh it to search for that ship?

Thanks!

Hmmm, I am not sure that I understand the problem. How it works:
- clicking the module in Outfitting list will search for that module, doesn't matter what is selected in the search block (the searched modules/ships are listed above the search results).
- the same is applied by clicking the "Search shipyard" button in the Shipyard, it will search for the selected ship doesn't matter what is in the search block.
- the item (ships and/or modules) adjustments in the search block are applied after clicking the "Search" button and is then remembered, so it's always retained and it doesn't need to be filled in all the time.

So, removing some modules from the search needs to be "confirmed" by clicking the "Search" and going back without clicking that button for a confirmation is not adjusting the search box. It was designed that way to allow leave the unnecessary changes, keep the complex search while there is still possible to search for the ships/modules individually (and also because it's easier). If that's the problem?

I am afraid so, but no idea when they will fix that. I doubt they will manage to solve the problem before Odyssey release.

Greetings, for the last 3 days, auto update for my frontier account does not work (always fails). Can you please look into it?

Hello, please try once again, it seems to be working now and Frontier's server hiccup is not appearing.

Indeed it worked. Thank you very much for looking into this. I thought it was a weird log entry that was responsible for the continuous failings

Another feature request: Make it possible to see how long a certain state has been active (BGS, for any faction).

Maybe in the form of a "tooltip" when you hover over a state, it could say "state active since at least" or something similar

Would be really helpful for managing a faction with presence in many systems so you can easily estimate when certain states should be over etc.

Is there anywhere that tracks historical mining prices?  There was a tool online that did it, but it's been offline for some time now.

Hello Artie.

Quite a few times now (More than 20), A carrier is listed on Inara as Docking access ALL. Though when you get there its set to Friends only or NONE.

And the update time is very low, sometimes 5 mins.

Is this trolls or a bug in Inaras reporting of Docking access ?

Sounds very much like trolls to me. Maybe implement some sort of "docking access history" so people can be warned about those carriers where the setting keeps changing?

Or, simply stop using or relying on them. Another option is, joining a squadron which coordinates activities where carriers are best used or most needed. Or just make friends with those that do.

Bit of an odd situation but I wanted to see if Inara's tooling could already help with this:

I'm trying to completely fill my inventory with components, so I can easily identify which components I burn through during normal play and top up as necessary. I don't have a specific list of things I want - I just want the ability to grab anything at a moments notice

Once you have a crafting list set up, Inara's tooling to show you how to trade efficiently to get what you want is amazing. What I'd like to know is, is it possible to set up my "missing components" as just the maximum of each component that I don't have the maximum of? That way, Inara can show me the best trades to make from components I can easily get to the ones that are a bit more difficult.

The only way I can think of doing this with the tooling currently available is to identify a combination of items that require everything in the game, but that seems a bit long-winded.

Any suggestions on how to achieve this?

If you want just everythings, you can just trade for the lowest tier components first, working your way up from there, going back to farm grade 5 mats whenever you run out, and then coming back to trade. I'm sure a FC in the raw mats system has a mat trader, to save you the trip back to the bubble every time you want to trade.

Great ideas, but.
I dont really rely on them, I was just interested in buying the stuff they had listed as selling.
I am in a Squad its the name under my name on my avatar.
I run carrier ops with Our Squad and Player Faction.

This was just an observation that the listed "Docking access : ALL" section of the Carrier details is incorrect. Most of the time.
As I said, I wasn't sure if its just idiots trolling of if it was something Artie can fix.

Anyway, thank you for your for interest in the problem.
Hope that info makes it more understandable.
