Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

I've been advancing my combat rank over a long time now and I've been keeping an eye on my progress through the ranking system in Inara. It's been fine for a long time, moving up through the pages without any issues. Something has come to light now though since I've changed the way I'm gaining rank. I'm no longer hitting NPC's of same or higher rank, I'm now hitting Thargoid Scouts. How although I am still making progress in the rank and that is visible on the slide bar, the same progress is no longer being reported by the table. I have not moved position at all much other than to go down a few points.
Is it me or are you not taking into account these log entries in the table calculations:
06/11/2020 20:53:13 Faction Kill Bond Reward:10,000 cr from Pilots' Federation , due to Thargoids
These are different from the standard normal NPC's:
13/10/2020 18:15:03 Bounty 276,690 cr, Target:Fer-de-Lance, Victim faction:HIP 117427 Society
Faction:LTT 874 Empire Assembly, 78,540 cr, Faction:51st Death Dealers, 132,510 cr, Faction:Liabeze Patron's Party, 65,640 cr

I was wondering whether it would be possible to implement a feature/toggle that would allow fleet carrier owners to "freeze" the aligned faction to something different than the "FleetCarrier" faction that gets input every time someone updates it with journal imports?
I am aware that it would then differ from the actual BGS state, but it would be nice to be able to show other people directly on e.g. the system overview who your fleet carrier belongs to. It would also be cool for roleplay purposes imo

If you have a gmail account, you can create an alias very easily by adding a "+alias" at the end of your gmail account. So, user.person@gmail.com can be user.person+inara@gmail.com which means you have 2 emails to use, emails for both will go to the same account.
If your email is with another provider, check with them on whether you can create an alias for your account.

Hello, yes, as mentioned, you need to use a different e-mail address. As the e-mail can be used for a login, those needs to be unique.
Synthya WylderI was doing a search in Inara for 5A Frame Shift Drive, & from Arexe location. Inara showed Vinge Keep in same system, & when I went there, none were available, & I even went back to re-load & check several times.
I'll keep looking using a different search tool.
Please pay an attention to the information age, it seems it may have been a quite obsolete info, as more recent update shows no 5A Frame shift drive. All tools are using the same outfitting data updates, so you will get the same results everywhere in such cases.
But, as I am checking some older data (but those are from August, so it's possible it may have changed meanwhile) - are you sure it was 5A FSD? It doesn't seem it was there before, too. Or is it still happening? In such case, screenshot please (of the search box and the results), it will help me to replicate the problem.

Maybe, I have something in that regard on the list, but not a priority at the moment.

Hello, the values for the rankings calculation are taken from the game stats (as those always contain the lifetime values). If the scout kills aren't counted towards the bounties here (which is possible, I didn't check), then we are out of luck I am afraid. Although Inara is counting Thargoid kills from the recent events for medals, etc. (as there is no lifetime value for those in the stats), the rankings are using the stats values that are possible to verify all the time and are reflecting the whole "life" of a commander.

I am wondering if it would be possible to add a filtering feature to the Inara rankings? As an Xbox player it would be interesting to see how I rank up among CMDRs on that platform, as many of the accounts on here are PC or PS players.

The problem with outfitting is more complicated - the data game provides contain all modules the station is selling under the best conditions (except Powerplay modules). However, the module offer may be further limited and not all modules are actually available in the game (nobody found what conditions exactly those are. Maybe the faction states, maybe the player's reputation, hard to tell). So there is a disclaimer about that, although it probably wasn't this case.
If you are using tools like EDMC, etc. to update the EDDN data, then yes - your visit of the station outfitting triggered an update and data on Inara, EDDB, EDSM, etc. then were updated by the data you've seen. For the surface stations there is quite common the data may be quite outdated - those usually aren't very frequent places as pilots are lazy to go down there (or check outfitting, which triggers the update while using EDMC, etc. during that action). Depends on the location.

It seems you may have been affected by Frontier's bug where the fleet carrier API endpoint is providing wrong market data with a black market installed. Please suspend the black market on your fleet carrier, give it ~15 minutes or so and import your data again. I suppose your market listing should appear there then. Also, please don't forget to add a note to this official bug report, that you are also affected.

Suspending and re-enabling any service doesn't cost any money. Only uninstalling and reinstalling services completely does.
