Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

KryxixI got an error message from Inara:
 SEC_ERROR_EXPIRED_CERTIFICATE
 Expired: 2021. 01. 14.

On the website using a regular browser? The browser version and OS used? The certificate looks alright, so isn't it some local problem (some antiviruses may use https filtering)?
Edit: Alright, now I've got it too, once. That's odd. I will investigate deeper.

Firefox 84.0.2, Windows 10

Same error here. Same OS and browser.

EDIT Fired up Edge and not getting error after a few minutes of clicking links randomly...

I believe the issue should be solved, but if it still will be happening from now on, please let me know. Thank you for the patience.

Hello, first of all thank you for this site! It is a real gem!

But I have a problem, it seems that all my data has not been updated since December 22, 2020. Same if I update them manually.
The update tells me everything is fine, but I don't see any changes on the site (even after several days).

Is this a cache problem? Or should I do something?
(on EDSM and the ED Companion mobile app, everything is correct)

I'm on Windows 10 with the latest version of Chrome.

Thank you for your help.

Hello, it seems you may have an incorrect account linked. Please try to re-link your account and ensure it will ask for your PSN login during the process. I think that I have noticed a similar problem some time ago when it stopped to work for another user as something changed internally on Frontier's or Sony's end. The re-linking should help.

EDIT: PLEASE DISREGARD, was able to get this answered in the Discord. It appears I may not have had EDMC open when I sold the ships and therefor the API did not receive the command. I will remove the ships manually from My Fleet page.

Hi I am curious what the trigger is for the API via ED Market Connector to update my fleet. I sold a couple ships this week remotely fro another star system but they still show in my fleet page, do i need to return to the system in which they were parked before Inara updates?

Thanks for your help!

Inara credits aren't right, yesterday I logged out ED with 240+M credits, today I imported my data to Inara and it's showing 156M cr. I did a lot of mining those past days, the transactions are wrong, i selled for a lot more than its showing.

Did you try logging into the game today doing something and then importing again? That fixed it for me last time I had that

Hello, as I see in the journals and logs I presume the state of the credits you see on Inara is before the mining commodities were sold, right? So the problem is that credits weren't updated after the commodities were sold? So the transactions are correct (the journals seems to confirm it), but the end state of the credits is not - respectively, it was not updated at the end of the session? I will take a look if this particular case can be improved somehow, but it's often tricky with the partial journal information (like sessions across multiple days, with update mid-session, etc.). In the worst case, as Igneel mentioned, the state of credits will be properly reflected at the next session start, as there are usually records that allow the "safe" credits update.

I will try today when I log, usually I login at night on work days.

Yes, as mentioned on the gallery page, the images may be archived and removed over time (as there is a ton of images in the gallery, it's a necessary step). Those used in logbooks or generally liked will stay though, that's why a general recommendation is to upload the best images possible.
Similarly, the inactive small squadrons (where no member is active on Inara for a several months) may be auto-disbanded, to prevent name occupying by inactive squadron made just by a few or single person.

NetchildHi,
any chance we can get a price-graph of the last x days for the commodities per station?

Hello, very likely not. There is no real reason for having such feature, as the major market prices changes are primarily influenced by the minor faction states and the past price knowledge is basically useless for predicting the price future development.

A new Inara update, primarily intended to improve the life of traders. Because the only right way how to play Elite is to be a galactic trucker, right?
  • Market overhaul: The market section was one of the oldest parts of Inara and although it was improved over the years, its core was a hot candidate for a complete rewriting. So it happened - the new market should be a little bit faster, should provide you a better overview of the trades possible, it has a few new settings, and so on. On top of that, you can mark any trade route as a favorite and store it for future reference.
  • Best trade routes: A brand new feature that goes through all the known markets in the galaxy (read: known to 3rd party tools) and finds the best trade routes available. Once again, you can adjust it with additional filters and store any trade route as your favorite. The market opportunities here are quite an old feature that still deserves some enhancements and improvements (I will take a look at that later) but may complement your efforts of finding good profitable routes.
  • Inara rankings adjustments: Judging from the frequent questions like: "Commander XYZ has a better score than me, although his medals are worse! What's wrong!?" it was apparent that the rankings mechanics are not clear enough and sometimes even demotivating. The rankings and medals are both using the game stats but weren't directly related to each other, and it was the primary source of the confusion. There was made a change that rankings and medals are now more related. It still uses the same game stats, but the connection is more apparent. To describe it simply - ranking up your medals and progressing in these will directly affect your rankings score, so you will always have a clear idea of what to do to increase your ranking score (aside from the regular Pilot's federation ranks, of course). The only exception is the Xeno-hunter medal - as there are no lifetime values in the game stats, it's hard to objectively use such values and thus it has no effect on the rankings (at least for now, let's see if Odyssey will change something). The change favors generalists, commanders doing everything than specialists focusing on a single activity. But I believe it's just fair.
Another frequently suggested feature was adding rankings for the squadron members. So it's here - you can find it under Roster > Squadron rankings on your squadron page.
  • There was also another bunch of minor improvements and fixes made with this update, as usual. Namely a few new roles, an option to add an image to your fleet carrier, an option to remove ship images, fix for rescue/transport missions not being correctly counted to Thargoid war stats sometimes, and so on...
I hope you will like these changes and it will bring many credits to your accounts.
