Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

SherwattHey, folks,

I am here because I have a suggestion and a question regarding the site.

Suggestion:
It would be nice if I could see the amount of material/component/data/whatever I have when I am looking at the specific item's page. Currently, when I look at blueprints, the site tells me how many components and data I have. I think it would make sense and would be helpful if that number would be displayed on the items' page as well.

Question:
On a Commander's credits and balance page I can see a few Verified tags for some seemingly random amounts. What does that mean? Who verifies it and how?

Thank you and fly dangerously

Yes, I will add something there. I think that I have it on the list already.
The "verified" tag means that the credits came directly from the Frontier's server, weren't altered by user edit/input and thus it can be considered as a genuine value.

HojothefoolIs there a way to search for specific parameters for systems? Like Anarchy, Current state, Power states, etc etc

No detailed search with those parameters at the moment, aside of stuff in the "Nearest" section. I would like to improve it in the future, though.

ZapOfSillyWalksHey, with updating the commander profile, is there a reason it doesn't update markets for EDDN? I'm looking for an alternative to EDMC because I play on console. EDSM does this, but their console updater is mighty slow. I just was wondering if there was a reason Inara doesn't do this as part of the journal update/upload.

Yes, because such stuff requires a way how EDSM is doing that - it means, constantly spam Frontier's server with requests to check where the player is and when he is docked, request the market data. As the journals are always downloaded for an entire day, it's very slow process (on top of Frontier's server not serving the journals very swiftly oftenly) and doing such stuff on Inara will very likely add such burden to them it will be even slower or stop serving data within a reasonable timeframe. So the unwritten agreement is that EDSM is doing it that way to provide console players at least some way, but nobody else should try to do the same. As you can see, even with only EDSM doing it it's not very fast process.

I can theoretically skip that journal download part, which is the heaviest load and request just the cAPI profile (which is much faster and lightweight), but even that will lead to a ton of requests as it needs to be made relatively often (let's say each 3 minutes) and with the amount of active users on Inara it won't be exactly a nice way how to do that. I was rather thinking about some hybrid way like adding a button "Update market of my currently docked station" or something like that, but let's see...

the way i personally handle my own updating of the data in inara is by every time i dock in my carrier i buy a tritium unit from myself and put it back, then go to inara and do a manual update. it seems to give me fresh lists of everything when i do that, not sure either if this even pertains but at least is a thing i do that gives me fresh lists on my profile

hey Artie, was wondering if it would be possible to edit multiple peoples rank in a squadron? for example, i just went through the back log of promotions and updated about 20 peoples rank, but you have to look for and update each persons rank individually. it would be useful if i could "check" a box next to multiple different peoples names and then promote them all to the same rank at the same time.

I like this idea.

Also - it would be nice to be able to export our squadron roster to .xls or similar.

Cmdr | Rank | Role | Flight | Days in Sqdrn | In Game | On Line | (etc)

Cephythe solution is simple...

step one...find window
step two...Throw console (keep controller if they are usb)
Step three... spend about the same amount you would for 2 consoles to get a PC worth a damn that will last you 4 times as long

4 times as long? Not if you wanna play the newest games each year...

Yeah, the roster edit is not very comfortable for some operations, especially with large squadrons. I would like to rewrite/change it completely. The multi-edit checkboxes noted.

About that. I like the idea of splitting the ranks a little further but isn't what's there on Inara a bit much? Especially for smaller squadrons it seems a fair bit over the top

How do yo mean? There are some times I wish I had additional ranks (or if not ranks, some sort of badge) to give.

Hello, I don't know if this has been suggested at all, but something I think would be useful is adding a way to set and look through a destination itinerary for fleet carriers. The flight out to Colonia and subsequently the 14.5k LY trip to the fastest known location for the current community goal really shows the potential value of this. I'd suggest allowing multiple entries for locations, dates and times, and possible requirements would be ideal.

I got a route for you, a list including fueling spots to take your carrier over there...it is however going to cost you, after all...i am as they say, a filthy pirate.

lol two things. A) I don't have a carrier, which is part of why the suggestion. B) I made my way out to the middle of nowhere without help just fine, it just takes forever. ;P

If you're talking about a place to list carrier routes for a kinda Uber service, something like that already exists in the form of a coordination Discord server just not on Inara

I don't know if anyone else has seen and/or reported this, but there appears to be some issue with the Thargoid War statistics. For 2 days now I have completed the days worth of Interceptor farming, updated my profile and observed correct numbers. I then come back the next day and my numbers have been reduced almost entirely. ie: 41 kills, down to 36. Score was 1226, now 1044. Two days I've earned a score above 1200 only to have it dropped down to 1030-44 the next morning.

On a separate, but related, note I wish the score calculations were explained somewhere because others with less Scout and Interceptor kills have a much higher score (with no or less rescues). Rescues for some earn 0.7 points per, but for others its 0.1. Something is not right.

Not a Thargoid expert but I noticed the numbers drop appears to be an issue with Inara. I go do stuff, earn money, update my profile and everything seems to update almost correctly (probably those wing missions throwing things off again). When I update again a couple hours later the numbers are reverted to previous values for some reason. I have yet to test the details of this but I think restarting the game might help Idk tho.

EDIT/UPDATE: Just tried launching the game again. Granted on the next day so it might have actually fixed itself either way so on second thought probably should've tried updating before that to see what that does but my numbers are right again

The level of interceptor matters. If I go out and kill 5 Cyclops, but you kill 3 Basilisks, you'll get a higher score.
