Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

BL1PHi, again

When you look at what cargo you have on your carrier on Inara it lists the items, but splits them depending on cost or something.
This doesn't really matter as if you have for example 500 tritium and 100 tritium at a different cost they just get stored together on the FC and its not possible to pull out say the 100 lower cost ones.

I think it would be cleaner if Inara just placed them all together so for example it would be 600 tritium.
Or if we could have a button to "Do split by cost" and "Do not split by cost".

Also it would be nice for me as I have tritium listed 6 times

Hello, I think that I can add some extra grouping for the outputs (and show the detailed sub-list of various commodity values on the click), that shouldn't be a problem. I will put that onto the list.

Bone Daddy@Artie .. apologies if this is a known issue - I use INARA extensively and am more used to singing it's prises than reporting bugs..

The Game log auto import - either from game (in my case via EDDI API) or from FDev - is missing INF rewards from the mission logs in some cases. I haven't pinned down a pattern, but in significant chunks.. my missions are correctly reported, but with INF rewards missing. This is a big deal during BGS activities.

Today - I dug through the last log file, and confirmed that the last mission entry was correct:
{ "timestamp":"2020-11-01T12:12:06Z", "event":"MissionCompleted", "Faction":"Verne Partners LLP", "Name":"Mission_Sightseeing_name", "MissionID":646371565, "Commodity":"$DomesticAppliances_Name;", "Commodity_Localised":"Domestic Appliances", "Count":1, "NewDestinationSystem":"Utgaroar", "DestinationSystem":"64 Piscium", "Reward":174335, "FactionEffects":[ { "Faction":"Verne Partners LLP", "Effects":[ { "Effect":"$MISSIONUTIL_Interaction_Summary_SP_up;", "Effect_Localised":"The security status of $#MinorFaction; has improved in the $#System; system.", "Trend":"UpGood" } ], "Influence":[ { "SystemAddress":1183364092626, "Trend":"UpGood", "Influence":"+++++" } ], "ReputationTrend":"UpGood", "Reputation":"+" } ] }

Key part highlighted..

..but in my personal mission log, and the faction overview - these were missing. I then uploaded the log file manually - and this was corrected.

Is there any difference in the way the manual upload and the auto upload parses the data ?

The manual and the auto-import are using the very same parser, there is no difference in how it handles the events. The only difference is that for a better performance is the auto-update skipping most of the journal events before the last update known. Apparently, by checking the logs, EDDI is not setting the influence "rewards" on a mission completion, that's why it was missing and as the API updates are taken as the "good" kind of updates, any subsequent journal import from the server just continues where the API updates ended (except some events like Statistics, etc. which needs to be validated all the time). I will put an additional exception for the mission completion there, so it should solve the problem in a case apps using the API are not setting it.

Hey Artie, 07

Can we get a delete message function please? In Private messages

Thanks in advance

Was Curious as i question FDEV on this they should allow so you can remove your minor faction and inject elsewhere if it turns out to be a bad injection

A minor, but important improvement: Thanks to Fett Li (Coriolis), the well known site coriolis.io now supports SLEF imports, so you can easily export your ship loadouts from Inara. Just visit your ship details page and there is a button next to existing export to EDSY. There is some limitation for the modules engineering at the moment, though.

Yes, but not a priority at the moment as it's not so urgent and is not about simple record removal (as there needs to be some shadow copies for the other recipients kept, etc.).

I am not sure if they are doing that. In any case, such faction will get move automatically on common star system updates here on Inara.

Capital! Been holding for that button Arti. Good man

Artie, that coriolis export do not include the engineering mods for some reason. Don't know is it you or them.
03 Nov 2020, 10:44pm
It's on them. Inara is exporting all the blueprints essential information like type, level, quality and experimental effect, so it can be used to recalculate the blueprint properties like EDSY does (when necessary). Well, except the legacy engineered modules.

What is legacy engineered modules?

SuperFrogXWhat is legacy engineered modules?

Engineering used to work on RNG rolls rather than progressive improvements. There are some legacy modules out there with levels you can't get any more.

How do I know if I have some of those... how long ago this was?

I had no idea about this.

Thanks

A good couple of years ago. If you don't carry the emotional scaring caused by engineering RNG you won't have any.

Most things from FDev are badly implemented on their first try. Some things like engineering, mining, BGS get better. Some things like powerplay and multicrew never get a second pass.

Fleet carriers and space legs seem to be following a similar path, time will tell...

I still shudder thinking about the old RNGineering. I have a bunch of legacy modules, but they were never maxed out, and are not worth keeping. They're still around because I'm equal parts lazy and sentimental, with a dash of crazy hoarder on top.

= Me in every game where I have some sort of storage space. The best is of course a grid system so I can arrange by color and what not.

Long ago version of the patch('s). more than a year-and-a-half ago.

INARA / My FLEET / SHIP / DETAILS on outfitting will show any "legacy mods" you may still be carrying.

Hi Artie,

I am wondering if it would be possible to add a filtering feature to the Inara rankings? As an Xbox player it would be interesting to see how I rank up among CMDRs on that platform, as many of the accounts on here are PC or PS players.

Thanks,

CMDR TooothedGreg43
