Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Ah, I misunderstood it. Just for getting the insight - how the IFs affect other factions in the star system? Is it just for the star system controlling action or all (other) factions in there?

In Odyssey you can't pay off bounties at IF if the faction which issued the bounty is present in the system, doesn't matter if the faction is controlling the station or the system. Just the presence in the system is enough.
In Horizons it seems different, there you can pay off bounties everywhere, unless they changed that in the last update.

Not sure if cashing in bounty vouchers or combat bonds is affected too.

Ah, makes sense, thanks. I will add it in the next major Inara update. I have added the option to filter stations/star systems by minor faction presence there anyway, so I will just fit an extra switch to exclude it instead in there.

Burstar or something
ArtieHmmm... I suppose listing the station's controlling faction in the list will do the trick? I do not want to clutter the search form with additional options unless absolutely necessary.

As already mentioned it doesn't. The issue is with the presence of the faction in the system, not the fact they control it.

I was not aware of this. So, if the faction you owe a fine to is in the system (has any asset?) then Interstellar Factors will not clear your fine even on a station NOT controlled by that faction? This explains what I thought was a bug. Thanks.

It's a lot more broken than that, even when they have no presence in the system you still can't pay it off some times.

Switching to Horizons will fix the issue for you.

Yes. It could be a bug, like the one that you can cash in any bounty voucher at any authority contact (not IF) at 100% payout in Odyssey, even if the faction is not present in the system.
But the situation with the FDev bug tracker and communication being as it is, it's rather unlikely that we get a response if this is intentional.

Generally speaking, a NOT:faction (and many others) search parameter has other uses and for some reason is glaringly lacking in all search utilities. Implementing this would set Inara appart from the pack (in yet another way).

Burstar or somethingThis is probably a big ask, but I was thinking for the Nearest: Interstellar Factors, it would be really useful for an option to avoid a faction.

Oh for sure, since it seems in Odyssey they made the change that Interstellar Factors can now only clear bounties from factions that don't exist in the system.

I would like to request new boxes be put in Nearest Station Services to include Vista Genomics, Pioneer Supplies and Bartender if possible.

Added. For the fleet carrier services it may take a couple of days until most/all of them will be populated, though.

The "not" switch will be certainly added for the minor faction in the star system presence (I have it implemented on the local version already). For the other cases - do you have some examples of the typical/most common usage, please? I may think about it - add it for the quick search or adding them where absolutely necessary, instead of messing the form with a ton of switches everywhere.

The Not:Faction takes care of many cases (ie: Expansion candidate searches), but off the top I would say Not:Superpower allegiance and Not:State for Manufactured Material farming, specific mission type searching, and avoiding places you have a superpower bounty in (but I think it is less important as your multi-select option as it is currently works well too). Not:Government might help with trade/smuggling, and Not:Powerplay Faction for numerous reasons (avoid hostile systems, expansion searches...)

@Artie

I know, the "Material Trading" is still in "experimental" state;
just wanted to leave here, that I frequently update my Profile and my FC via FDev import.

The amount and price of Ody-Stuff for trade is still listed correct, but isn't listed as "updated".
The market still has its time stamp from the day, I put up the offer.

So other players might assume, my market is pretty much outdated, although all information is still right.

Hmmm... odd. I am going to do some changes for it tomorrow, so I will re-check this. Thanks for the report.

Great, thanks for the suggestions. I will put that onto the list for the future consideration.

Just a follow up - I suppose those were the existing orders, not the new orders of the same item, right? In such case I cannot do anything about that at the moment, because I only know when a new order is made (or cancelled), but not that the order is still present. But it looks that Frontier may do a similar output like for the commodity markets in some of the future game updates, so if that will happen the situation will be improved in that regard.

Artie,

There's something I've been looking for and I can't find it on Inara (as well as Spansh, EDDB, & EDSM) I wanted to be able to search Planetary Ports by the type of body they are attached to. Alternatively, I want to be able to specifically search Odyssey-only Planetary Ports. I wanted to try visiting planetary stations that have atmospheres to see if I can get a nice view.
