Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Ursine CatastropheBug Report: It appears that the following wings aren't showing up on the overall wing page. Intentional, or not?

It is intentional, these wings are inactive (no member was logged in for long time here), so these are hidden from the main listing (at least until some member logs in) and can be eventually disbanded.

Arti is it a bug that non wing members get to see a list of the wing memberships ?

Not a bug, but there was request for the option to hide wing member list some time ago and I am currently evaluating this for the upcoming update. I initially thought it may be handy to has it there, but on the second thought I am not so sure.

So I've been playing around with this site. Very nice...lots of random little places to brag about your accomplishments..I like it!

I don't know if it's up for a vote but I'd like to request to keep this public; Inara's the closest thing we have to being able to see "minor faction" membership right now.

It may be of no consequence, but I completely agree. +1

I am also in favour of membership being public.

Having private memberships mean you can be part of a secret organization.

I am also for public membership.

Hey Artie

can you build a tracker that would record the IP used by a member of inara and store it in the database.
and then, each time a new IP is used on the same account, record it in the DB.
and finally, run a CRON that would do a cross control on each Account/IP to find if some accountS have a duplicate IP address.

And at the end, TAG duplicate account. (just under Inara supporters by exemple)
OR show it only for member of inara that is at least Squadron Leader only (as they can Accept new member in the wing)

All of that would help to find who create fake account, that is created only for spy other wing.

possible ?

afaik Artie already does something like that, because he said something about that recently. I might be wrong though

Yes, there is already some check for possible multiple accounts in wing join requests. Unfortunately, any kind of these checks is relatively easy to bypass so the only solid way how to confirm if commander is "valid" or not is to check with him in the game. So who wants to be more or less sure about their members, there must be always in-game check made. At least until there will be official API with some kind of unique keys that can be assigned for each commander.

Do you get any cooperation from Frontier Developments with making this site integrate so nicely into the game?

And would it be possible to interact with wings your wing is in coalition with on here, ie I'm with the 9th Legion, we are in coalition with the White Templars and Arissa's Legion, but even though we are allied wings I can't use this fantastic site to communicate / liase / cooperate with folk in the templars or Arissas Legion :-/

Is there any scope for parsing the API output from FD to update Inara?

Using the curl setup is dead easy although I'd presume quite a few are windows based.
This could also be used for flight logs too if we had a defined entry point.

Yes, there are some plans for an Inara API, but nothing specific so far...

At this moment PMs and wing "ambassadors" can be used for any negotiations, but I have some coalition shared thread(s) feature on my ToDo list already.

No cooperation, except things that Frontier gives out publicly like galnet news and so on. Unfortunately, it seems that the right opposite is true and 3rd party sites creators are completely ignored at this moment. Maybe it is just a temporal state, but I have no response (once again) to my private message to one of the Frontier staff sent more than week ago, other creators seems to be on the same boat. Also our joint message with themroc, Anthor, McLeod and other guys sent few days ago is still unread...

Well thats good news. Hopefully I can script something when you expose the API then.
How far has the consideration gone? If this is too "personal" please feel free to dance around the answer or PM me.
