Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Yeah, the empty markets may be a problem sometimes, but EDDN network feeding the data to Inara, EDDB, EDSM, etc. is capable to distribute "empty" markets to tell everybody nothing is there, so it's up to individual "feeder" tools how they handle that.
But, on top of that, Inara is doing its own fleet carrier updates when its owner is on Inara and is syncing his data, so it should clear the market sooner or later. I was also thinking about adding some button to the fleet carrier/station page like "Re-check the market", which can speed up the things. I will try to deploy this feature as soon as possible.

Good stuff, thanks Synthya, Artie.
Am puzzled about how EDDN would ever find out about the empty markets though, given that my journals (I looked, by hand) had nothing at all, despite docking twice with the carrier (second time was just to put it beyond doubt).

Another wee buglet that I suspect you already know about Artie: when I click on any materials (for their description page), it has a section which is meant to say how many I have/need, but it's zero for both. (In other words - Need: 0, Have: 0)

Actually, I wasn't aware of that, thanks for the report! I will fix that in a couple of days in a minor update.

I don't know it's a bug or a feature, but photo preview block on main page lacks the "Shiny" button activity, so I can't stamp likes on stuff from there.

Artie As there is around 12k systems updated daily and usually less than 10 daily were edited manually, there was no point to keep it live and open to trolling, as it happened few times recently (like factions being added to star systems where they shouldn't be, intentionally swapped minor faction influences to damage some player group and so on).

One reason for it only being "10 daily" is many that were *checked* manually not having changed. It might be informative to look how many separate systems were updated over a long time period.

Requiring players to actually travel to systems to update data (whether that be by EDDN message, or EDMC etc utilising the Inara API) means BGS players are going to be blinder when checking things on Inara. Sure, they always had to open up all the systems on the system map, but then they could update Inara *if anything had changed*.

Would you consider making it a special permission?

In case of a special permission I'd suggest making it a role squadron leaders have to manually assign to members (I'm gonna guess that the majority of people interested in this will be part of squadrons in the first place).

Yes, I have considered the long term numbers and even ignoring the fact that around half of the edits were made by console commanders, having a problem to get the numbers in another way. The systems that have been checked but not edit doesn't count, because they apparently haven't needed to be updated, so still with relevant numbers. I may (and I do not promise anything here) enable the manual edits for some selected reliable commanders later, but I also want to check the other pointers after the change first (for example, more people may start to provide more data over EDDN, etc.). It's not about disabling the edit "just because I said so", but it seems there may be more benefits than drawbacks from it.

Ah, yes, I will take a look on that.

i belong to those using manual edits to save time ... e.g. imagine time needed to visit 100 systems ingame
imho trusted long term (years) leaders of medium-large PMF shall be considered for that manual access exception

i just noticed my signature (even when clearing the cache, force-reloading and all that, even when opening it in a completely different browser that's never seen inara before) still says "Trade: Merchant" 2 days after i unlocked Entrepreneur, figured i'd ask whether that's just a very liberal interpretation the server has of "might take an hour or two" due to lots of users, or is something stuck there? not that a cronjob died or something and just nobody noticed

Is the Import of linked Frontier data not working properly? For the last couple of days, when I manually click the "Import Frontier Data" button, it says it has successfully imported but the data does not match actual data (only data from the day before). Also I can click the button several times without getting the warning about having to wait 15 minutes.

The cron is running, just your account may have not been properly flagged for the signature image regeneration with the rank change. I will investigate, thanks for the report (meanwhile you can regenerate it manually, just turn it off and on).

I don't see any problem? It seems to be on par with the journal received, just the credits may get updated on the next session start, as there may have not been all the information for the proper update.

OK, I logged in and out of the game and now the import is working. Seems to be a delay sometimes of getting fresh data.

Thanks.

how come my Logbooks are not showing up publicly? I save them as finished (public)

Lord Seteshhow come my Logbooks are not showing up publicly? I save them as finished (public)

It's too short, as mentioned on the edit page. Please make it a regular "full" logbook entry anybody may be interested to read. Nobody usually cares about short notes (and thus it's not displayed in the public list).
