Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

first of all thank you for the immense work you do with inara.cz, it is a great site and a fundamental companion app.
I am the manager of a squadron, and I use inara to manage and control the activities of the squadron members, but for some information I need to use other sites or other methods. The information I would need would be the sale of bounty / bond (the amount of credits sold, to which faction and at which station) and also the sale of commodities (amount of commodities or profit and at which station).
The sales station is especially important to understand which faction they sold to.
Another cool option would be the ability to customize grades, so you can give high grades without the requirement for minimum members.

Yeah, I know there is a demand for such functionality and it's certainly on my list. It's not so simple (as it needs to be handled with the privacy settings, provide information about what commanders are or are not included due this and also keep the data size on the leash, plus possible related performance drawbacks that needs to be tested first), but not unrealistic. I may take a look on that later. The squadron ranks may be adjusted after Odyssey (I am also playing with the idea to provide additional/alternate ranks for ground units, but let's see about that).

What it will be good for me is only to remove the limit of rank for high ranks due people limit, for example, the “Chief of Staff” rank is 1 for 50 people, but i would like to give that rank to another one, but i can’t due limit people... And the same is for “flight”. I have a Chief of staff that is a commander of a flight but I can’t give that rank because it’s not avaible for him...

Please disable your fleet carrier's black market, it's causing those troubles (see the link in the sticky post to the official bug report). The black market content is not going to be reported to 3rd party tools anyway.
what if you have no black market? My fleet carrier data has had a fault for not syncing for weeks now. Cmdr and fleet data is ok.

Please try to re-link your accounts. I am not sure why, but Frontier's server returns empty data not just for your fleet carrier, but also journals (even those which were previously imported, which is weird). Something odd is happening on their end, so let's see if the re-linking will help and give it a "push".

Unfortunately not. There are no data for it in the journals or cAPI profile that can be imported.

It auto-fills the last location set there (or your current location, when known) as a point of reference, so you do not need to set it over and over again. It however has the text auto-select when the input field is activated/focused, so you do not need to delete it manually, just click and type, same as if it was empty.

I just set, then re-set my location again to another system and it still shows this other system in the commodity search form. I change the search form to another system, search, and if I clear the form and search blank, it re-populates that form with this system again.

Hmmm... I should rather prioritize the current star system set than the previous form value on blanks and manual location re-sets. Good call. I will make some adjustments tomorrow.

Firstly, thanks for the additional changes to the Market tab. The compact view is very useful, and I'm getting used to how it now works. The separate Commodities, Trade Route and Nearest links are much more convenient now than before.
What I've noticed though is that, since the Market page update (roughly or directly) Inara isn't as good at knowing my current location. I don't think I've changed anything on my end, so I was hoping you could give me your opinion if there's something I should be doing differently.
My setup is this: On my main gaming computer, I run EDMC, EDDI and EDDiscovery. These are all cross-linked to the various other 3rd party tools like EDDB, EDDN, EDSM, Inara, and the Frontier API. These tols are all synched with the game and update as I travel around, but since I play ED full screen, I need to alt-tab to view them.
SO, on my (older) laptop set up to the side, I run Inara, and I have a page reload plugin for Chrome that refreshes the Market tab every 30 seconds or so. My Inara account is set up to synch with Frontier API.
This way, when I dock at a station, the main computer sends station market data up to the various tools, and informs Inara (via Inara API or Frontier API) of my current location. The Market tab refreshes, and I can see the market in the Inara view - which is WAY more convenient than digging through the in-game market. The cargo on my carrier, materials I have, etc, are all a click away thanks to Inara.
BUT, as of about the time of the Market page changes, Inara seems to not pick up my location changes. Any advice on debugging? I suspect I have multiple tools synching their data, and I suspect this may be adding to the problem. Is there a "best way" you would recommend for tying other tools into Inara?
TIA for any ideas you might have.

I just tried to reimport Frontier data ('m not currently in the game), went to my Commander page and used the "set location" there to the correct system, but then clicking "market" still shows me the station I was on previously (I may have set it manually or not).
And the oddest thing is that it does SOMETIMES work. But it worked consistently before and now doesn't.
