Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Hi Artie.

CCed from Game talk:

EpisparhDo anyone remember what were the ranges of contributions in the last hauling CG. Apparently Inara do not keep displaying this.

Unfortunately, I don't. But it would be an useful feature request (@Artie). If the individual data isn't kept in the database, only the cumulative results could be stored.

Thanks. And kudos for the site.

Great!

Another quite old part of Inara was deserving an overhaul before you will start to post your amazing screenshots from the Odyssey alpha in less than two weeks. So here it is.
  • The Inara gallery was rewritten almost from the scratch, with an improved layout and a new more comfortable image viewer. On top of that, some "high frequency" categories like "Latest" and "Trending" are having a grouping by author implemented - it means when somebody will upload a ton of images, just his latest one will be displayed (with a hint there are more images present). This behavior can be further extended to some other categories in the future, so now is more than ever valid - if you want to make an impact, pick your best images. If you will just spam the gallery with a ton of images, many of them will be very likely never seen by the audience.
  • There were also a few other tweaks and improvements made and from those most important - the manual minor faction influence edit was removed. By the stats, it was used for just a couple of star systems updates daily and as there was an increasing rate of utterly wrong manual edits lately, it was better to simply disable it for the sake of the data consistency. But, a new feature is that the minor factions' influences are now updated also on journal imports (under certain conditions), which should be more comfortable especially to console commanders. As the conditions for the update are that the target star system wasn't updated for a while, it's not intended to serve for any real-time updates (for such stuff please use the established tools like EDMC, EDDiscovery, EDDI, etc.) but to fill the gaps.

As usually, enjoy!

Love the new Gallery look.

Oh, that's glorious. Thanks!

(sure I'll support all of this when I'll stop being a broke arse)

p.s. Guess making a section for screenshot parts and other small stuff which will stay hidden from general galleries and overviews, but could be inserted in logbooks by link, would be a popular decision.

Seems that the update changed something with the posting editor. On my tablet (not the newest) the button bar shows as text, which makes it rather unusable. On desktop everything's fine.

Image link Using the [img]-function didn't work.

PS: I had no idea Artie was a cute space hamster!

Allowing journal imports to update system influence is a huge plus for us. Thank you!

Maybe later, no entirely decided about that yet as although it will de-clutter the gallery, people may start to use it as their backup space instead. It's not something I want to support entirely.

Thanks for the report. Please reload the page, I suppose it should work now? (some workaround for the older browsers was added)

The Portrait shots are not showing right in the gallery with the name being covered off, perhaps a pop out when mouse over will be a better solution?

I assume you are already aware of this if so plz ignore

Ah, yes, it will get solved once all the thumbnails will be regenerated. I thought it will be much faster to do that right on the server, so I was not juggling with the local copy and conversion and it was apparently an underestimation. It will take 30-60 minutes until fixed I presume.

Right now in our fleet overview, all ship pictures are sized differently (small but in their original aspect ratio).
Before this update, they would all be cropped a little bit to be the same size.

I'm not sure if this was an intended feature of this update? I rather preferred the old way of showing them, with all pictures in the same size.

Not happy that you have removed the manual edit influence function.
19 Mar 2021, 4:41pm
Thanks, not intended. I will fix it later today together with sometimes shifted back paging in certain image categories.

Edit: Both fixed.
