Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

In addition to the market items available at each starport, would it be possible for Inara to grab a list of each system's prohibited items?

Hi,
I my counter of the combat bonds does not seem to work properly. In the statistics tab its synchronized with the in-game codex stats, but on my CMDRs overview tab the "The Soldier" badge count is off by over a hundred.
I know this might be caused by only using INARA a long time after playing ED, at least that has been my observation with the "The Traveler" badge, which is different between EDSM and INARA.
However, I submitted my first journals via the frontier API (2021-01-10) three days after starting out (2021-01-07) in the game at all. Common sense and my memory tells me that I have certainly not claimed over 100 combat bounds in my few first hours (I did data courier missions).

I have both used the Frontier API and EDDN via EDMC to submit data, and apart from this, no other data seems to be off.

So I have no idea what may the cause here, its not super important, but I would like to know nevertheless

@ShuffleQ The Ranks and Awards section only updates when data from Frontier is imported (either manually or during the daily auto-update). This is so that the data from the Flight Logs can be verified with the data on Fdev's servers.

The Statistics tab is data according to your flight logs directly. It does have a lag time as it doesn't seem to update until the NEXT time you dock at a station (or relog in at the same station) after data has changed.

In either case, it is mentioned during the updating process that the data on Inara is not meant to be realtime so if you're off by a days worth of data and it really bothers you log out of game, log in, update EDMC, wait a couple minutes and then do a manual import from Frontier and everything should match afaik.

I am aware of all that, especially that INARA (nor any 3rd party tool really) is supposed to be real time. I made sure to use the Frontier API frequently and this has persisted for about a month now. I will be conducting some experiments the next two weeks now to verify that again, but this seems to not be just lag time.

Just to add to Burstar's comment - it seems your direct import of journals stopped due some errors (partial journal received) two days ago, please try to perform a new import (just click the button on your CMDR page). You don't need EDMC or so for that (those are meant for the near real-time update via Inara API). That should hopefully sort out the problem (the statistics data and data for the medals are taken at the game session start from the journal's Statistics event).

Hello, I seem to be experiencing problems with my CMDR updates. I have received no updated data since the 9th May. Tried all the usual - logging off/on, importing Frontier data etc. An update returns no error message, just the normal completion message. Can anyone assist?

Hello, that's interesting - I do not see any journals downloadable for your account linked since 9th, but also not for any date before (although they were previously imported). Have you tried also to re-link your game account?

The FAQs on the importing of Frontier data says that some of the Commander stuff runs as long as you are active on Inara.

What constitutes as 'active' and exactly what data updates?

That you have logged to Inara at least once in the last ~20 days.

Yep, it will update the stuff for the next 20 days since your last login on Inara. Well, at least until the Frontier's server won't require a re-auth (they are forcing it for each ~30 days since the last auth) or some other unexpected problem on their end will appear.

Because I see just a Cobra there, low credits amount and the commander name also may be incorrect. Haven't you linked some of your alt game accounts by accident? Please check that, link the correct account and I will then adjust your import date a little to continue from 9th (as this account adjusted the import date to today, as it appeared there are no data/journals).

OK Artie, I think you are correct - I had (stupidly) logged in to my alt account. Logged off that and I am now logged into my main account.
