Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

there is the possibility to continue to display the rank via elite (for example I am elite in trade and according to the Odyssey version I continue to collect percentages in the trade rank). I also read somewhere that there are still Elite I to Elite IV rankings.
Yes, the above-Elite ranks are displayed, you however need to play Odyssey for that (and also import Odyssey journals/data).

I was wondering if anybody else had this issue where Thargoid encounters are not registered on the personal logs/statistics page.
There are, however, kills registered in the Xeno-hunter medal on the ranks page. So that would be some kind of discrepancy.

Hello, the kills for the medal are counted by Inara "manually" from the respective journal events, but the number of encounters is taken from the Statistics event and should correspond to the stats in the game. So, if the number of encounters in the stats isn't increasing as expected, please report that to Frontier.

If you mean Inara name, you can change it in the Settings > Account settings. If you mean your linked commander name, it may take a while sometimes, but you can simply push the name update with the account re-linking (in the Settings > Commander settings).

UiilJust noticed Inara shows a way out of date loadout on my DBX, manualy updated cmdr data via Epic - no change to out of date loadout. If known bug, carry on.
Hmmm, it seems the DBX was updated today, but I am currently unable to check your journal data (as an access token expired) to compare the loadouts, so I will take a look later.

Just re-checked; & DBX is now showing correct loadout. Maybe ships need to be flown around to get updated? My DBX had been just collecting dust for a while there.

I was wondering about a question here myself. My Xeno Medal is showing 0 kills. Yet our Hutton Helper (which gets its data from Market Connector) says I have 788 kills.
Why wouldn't these show up in my journal logs?

Ah, then it was that. The full ship loadouts are updates only on the ship swap/when flown, as the full loadouts are written into the journal just at these occurrences.

As there are no full "lifetime" stats for the Thargoid kills in the game/journals, Inara is counting the kills from the respective kill events, as mentioned. To prevent.... ehm... "artificial inflating" of the numbers in the journals, it's counted only from the journal directly fetched from the Frontier's server via Import Frontier data feature. So, if you haven't been importing your journals regularly, some numbers (kill events) may be missed.
