Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

ArtieAny specific names to check? They should use the Import Frontier data feature, too (to get reliable data for the rankings right from the Frontier's server), if they didn't do that already.

Mine for example. My mercenary rank is elite II, on squadron rankings is still elite I. And Zerton is elite V but ends up defenseless. Blaad is also wrong.

Thanks. In your case, the rank in the rankings should be there after the next data update/import (I am taking it just from the session start, to match the timestamp with the Statistics). Zerton didn't import his data for a while. Blaad made just the Inara API updates, but no direct import from Frontier's server (required to get the unaltered data, as mentioned). So once they will make such updates, it should be alright.

Edit: I've found the problem. I adjusted it manually for your carrier, a proper fix will follow later this week. Thanks again for the report.

Thank you

ArtieYes, the CG end estimation (when 100% completion met) or CG completion level (when 100% not met till the end of the goal) will be there for the next CG (also with that reward tier highlighting). Not the goal tier estimations though - although CGs are using similar/same thresholds lately, it was not always a case. In the end, anybody can do his tier estimation from the estimated final completion percentage.

Great! That's good enough.

@Artie

Sadly I have noticed that two of your pinned bug tracker reports have expired.

Stupid system Fdev are using to be honest.
Anyway just letting you know.

Hello,
I've been diligently collecting bio-data since Odyssey came into existence and will soon be moving up to Elite. I also checked fandom to see what ranks are still available. It's still up to Elite V! For the amount of data you have to hand in, it takes me what feels like an eternity. :o
https://elite-dangerous.fandom.com/wiki/Exobiologist
Then I took a look at the ranking list on Inara to see what others have already achieved. A few are already Elite I, that's all! Except for the first three, who are already EliteV! :o
How have they managed in the time since Odyssey has been in existence to hand in these huge amounts of data? Especially since all the others, many of whom are also busy collecting, haven't even managed Elite II, III or VI yet? *hm* Well, I think something like that can only be done by cheating. Or how do you see it?

This can happen if you crewed on their ship. You just have to remove it from Inara when it happens. The journal logs aren't clear about who owns the ship.

Yeah, it can happen due multicrew. On Inara journal imports it should be handled properly (except some rare occurrences when the journals are split on midnight UTC during the session, if the information needed about the multicrew is missing in the second journal), but 3rd party tools updating data via Inara API may behave differently and may send the ship, which I cannot affect. I believe they should have it somewhat handled, too, but there may some situations occur and if that was a case and the ship was added by such app, it's best to report the problem to its author. There is nothing much I can do about that at the moment, I am afraid (except disabling of adding the new ships on the loadout updates, but that will bring more harm than benefits). In any case, thanks for the report!

Ah, yes, thanks. I will probably re-post it again once the more pressing matter with the Codex stats will be solved on their end.

Hello, I think you can find a guide how to grind the rank effectively on the official forum. But even then, it's a lot of grinding.

Yes? What others need weeks or even months for, they manage in one or two days?

These could be manual entries, no?

I have no idea how they do it, but the first 5*5 Elite came up in a recent FDev stream. They said that Dav checked the stats and confirmed they were accurate.

If anyone knows the secret sauce to Exobiology grinding then I'd like to know how it's done.

I don't manage to collect 3,016,800,000 bio-signals in one day. That is impossible.
Not even in two or three days, not even in a week, if I play day and night.

when you check Elite Dangerous Wiki for Combat Elite Dangeous Wiki Combat it shows you need approximately 2,225 experience points to go from Deadly to Elite Combat ranking. This equals 1,780 Elite kills, or approximately 2,400 kills based on a more average distribution of ships.. (based on horizon stats) so you can guess / calculate how much kills you need to go from elite II to elite V (only available in odyssey).. within 5 days.. that must be 5 days slaughterhouse.. is that possible ? i dont know, even if you fight all night and day.
